I take it with me when hiking. I put it in a small mesh bag attached to my backpack and activate it before beginning a hike. That way, in addtion to having photographs and GPS track logs of the excursion, I also have a record of what kind of climate I was hiking in and how it varied during the excursion. (Hot, cold, muggy, dry, wet, about to storm, etc.) I realize these things were intended for laboratory or logistics use, but this is the closest thing I could find for the data I wanted to collect. This is the second such climate data logger I have used outdoors, and is an improvement over the previous one (Misol DS-100), because it is not likely to lose your data before you get it home to the computer. (One little bump on the other one and the data is gone.) It only records one log file between downloads (try to record more and they will just overwrite the previous one). It would be nice if you could start/stop it multiple times and it record multiple log files, limited only by its memory capacity.The one log file can be saved at download, both as a detailed PDF report and also a CSV file. If I need to extract just part of the data log and make graphs of that, I should be able to load the CSV file into Excel and work with it there. You CANNOT save the log file without using the software, which conveniently is built into the device as a freestanding executable that works on any Windows PC without installation. I would have preferred to be able to download from it like from an ordinary USB thumb drive using just Windows Explorer, but this will do.There is no "off" state without pulling the battery. It would be nice if it could be turned off if it's not going to be used for a whie, but at least this one provides an estimate of remaining battery life, and uses a commonly-available button-cell battery. Ideally, I would like to see climate-logging capability integrated into the same device as a GPS data logger, but until somebody offers such a device, this works.

This device is perfect for recording outdoor temperatures. It was easy to program to take readings once and hour from which I can extract max and min temperatures. The download to Excel format worked well. A previous review complained about battery longevity. That doesn't seem to be a problem for me.

Really cool little item and fabulous idea overall. Amazing portability for logging data. However, it eats through batteries much too quickly. For the price, a small rechargable battery could have made it a great item. Additionally, the file formats this thing spits out aren't exactly great. My kingdom for some JSON or at least CSVs with a date format that makes any sense!

The unit shows 29.2 but the Weather Bureau shows 30.23 and falling. I have contacted the manufacturer.

On ne peut lancer l'enregistrement des données qu'immédiatement après avoir connecté et paramétré l'appareil à l'ordinateur, sans l'éteindre entre-temps. Au cas où l'accès à la zone d'enregistrement est différé, il faut paramétrer d'autant le délai du départ d'enregistrement.La solidité de l'appareil ne semble pas évidente (joint du compartiment de la pile qui se détache à l'ouverture du capot).Ai demandé un retour.

Wir haben zwei solcher Geräte im Einsatz - die Abweichungen untereinander sind verschwindend gering und absolut im Toleranzbereich. Die Messergebnisse werden, lässt man sie sich als PDF ausgeben, auch sehr schön graphisch dargestellt. Für Leute die Klimaschwankungen egal für welchen Anlass aufzeichnen wollen ein prima Gerät, da man hier Temperatur, Luftfeuchte und Luftdruck mittels eines Gerätes aufzeichnen kann.Bedienung ist mehr als einfach!

Funziona perfettamente, moto facile da utilizzare, i report a fine registrazione sono di facile comprensione anche per i non esperti. Il software per settare i parametri è semplicissimo e in italiano. Stampato c'è solo il manuale in inglese ma all'interno della chiavetta c'è il manuale stampabile in italiano.
