This is the second one of these gizmos I bought. I sent the last one back and it's a year or so later and saw a super low price so figured I'd give it another try. I had to watch a video to figure out how to use it and still nothing would come up on the screen Then looked again on the web and saw one site stating you must open (for PC) a program like notepad, WordPad, etc. Well tried that last time and got nothing. And again, nothing.So I opened Notepad plus (Notepad ++) and wow! It worked!! Nothing in the instructions whatsoever on this. Hope this helps someone out there. Pretty poor they don't even give that little bit of uh, kind of important information. I can't even imagine how many of these things get sent back per year because people plug them in and nothing happens :(

I just needed an easy to use scanner for checking Membership passes in the lobby at an event. We need to update the membership database live for payments and other status fields so that the Membership Pass will be accepted when subsequently scanned for admission. It scanned instantly and reliably and is good ergonomically.

I’ve been using this thing for a couple months now to scan airbags for the takata inflator recalls. I charged this scanner one time and have scanned hundreds of inflators since then on a single charge. It works great. I just plug in the “dongle” lol and pull the trigger once and the scanner powers up and connects to the dong..le. The scanner is also very small as is the...dongle.
