I have been running in a vest for a while, after using a running belt for many years. I like that vest, but noticed a couple of things that just don’t work well for me. The first thing I noticed about this one is that it is not only lightweight, but it is made to breathe. I perspire a lot, even on cool days, and the breathability is key for me. The second thing I noticed is that this vest is available with a 500 ml collapsible hydration bottle. The flexibility of the bottle means it will flatten as I hydrate, making it more comfortable. I like the design and the build speaks of future durability. It is available in different sizes and the straps offer flexibility for my body size. Altogether, this vest is good value for the price and I will look forward to many great runs in it..

Good concept, but needs to be reworked. It won't fit anyone that's larger than a C -cup breast size. You can't wear layered clothes with it. Only a thin shirt or sports bra. The pockets are a little small. The only large pocket that would fit a cellphone is in that back. Which you can't reach while wearing the vest. The only thing I liked about it was the water bag. You have to fill it up first before putting it in the pocket. You don't have to remove the water bag from pocket to get a drink. It can actually reach your mouth and all you do is drink it like a Capri Sun . But, I wouldn't recommend this vest at this time. Unless they fixed a few things.

I was really impressed with this running vest. It’s ultra-light and breathable, which makes it perfect for long trail runs or hikes without feeling bulky or overheated. The included soft flask is high-quality and features a bite valve similar to a traditional hydration bladder, which I really appreciate—it helps prevent leaks and makes sipping on the go easy.The adjustable front straps allow for a snug, customized fit that stays secure while moving. I also love the layout of the pockets. There’s a designated spot for the water bottle on the left chest, two additional easy-access pockets on the front for small items like gels or keys, and a hidden zippered compartment on the right side of the vest for more secure storage.Overall, this hydration vest is thoughtfully designed, comfortable to wear, and functional. Highly recommend!

Honestly the vest fits nicely for me and looks cool. But I don't believe it's the most practical running vest out there. The pockets are a little small and the water bottle is a bit awkward to use. However, I do believe one could make do with it and it does look pretty good in my personal opinion. Plus it's kind of a neat idea. So, four stars!

As someone new to running gear and a novice cyclist, I was surprised by how compact this XL-sized 3L storage running vest is. At 6 feet tall and 190 lbs with a squared body frame (wearing a size 44 jacket), I found that the vest sits just above my rib cage and doesn’t wrap around my lumbar side, stopping midway down my back—an area I can’t easily reach.Fit and DesignThis vest is incredibly light and made from mesh fabric, which provides excellent ventilation and moisture-wicking properties. It’s ideal for anyone looking for a lightweight option for active use. However, the compact design may be better suited for individuals with shorter torsos, athletic builds, and greater flexibility. Width would be acceptable. However, length would be an issue for me. When I wear this, it stops at top of my rib cage, like a very aggressive cropped practice football jersey from 90s.Storage FeaturesThe Utobest vest offers practical storage:- Front: Two soft flask holders (one provided), with one zippered chest pocket that can barely fit an iPhone 12 with its case or accommodate a Z Flip perfectly. Longer pocket in left side would keep your bigger phone, but it doesn't have button nor zipper (stretch fabric may hold it, but I would not bet on this).- Back: A roomy stow pocket for items like a wind jacket. Unfortunately, the placement of this pocket above my middle back can be hard to reach for less flexible individuals (i.e. me).Comparison and UsageIn comparison, my Ultraspire vest (10L, not apple to apple comparison), which I thought was tiny, feels much larger next to the Utobest vest. While this running vest might not work for everyone, it’s a suitable choice for holding extra water bottles and snacks with easy access while cycling or running. The compactness and accessible front storage pockets make it particularly appealing for shorter torsos and athletic users.
