I used these as a hold-down on one of my woodworking jigs. Sometimes it's safer than using your fingers to hold down a piece of wood.

I use several Clamptek CH-225-DSM toggle clamps outdoors, where the rubber spindle tips deteriorate over time. Original equipment is Clamptek spindle CH-FC-56212, 2 1/2" total length based on a 5/16"-18 bolt. This metric spindle is a similar size, and its hardware fits perfectly onto the Clamptek clamp arm.The provided nuts (M8-1.25, 14mm wrench) are not lock nuts. The Clamptek spindles use a regular nut as the inner nut, and a lock nut as the outer nut. One might want to substitute an M8-1.25 lock nut per spindle.
