Easy Operation:
Step 1: Solder the IC socket to the PCB circuit board.
Step 2: Insert the chip into the IC socket, finish.
The IC socket is the carrier between the chip and the PCB circuit board, the chip can be pulled and inserted directly without soldering to the PCB board.
Noted:
The spacing and line spacing of the connector holes must be the same as the spacing and line spacing of the chip pins.
Advantage:
When you need to install or replace the chip, directly remove the connection between the IC socket and chip, achieving the effect of saving IC cost and time.
Feature:
Great electronic component for PCB board, IC socket has strong heat resistance, it can withstand repeated welding and disassembly without damaging the chip.

This is for the replacement of the main battery IC in my Yamaha AW4416 mixer/recorder. It made the new IC installation much easier without having to solder the new chip itself in. This will make the chip in the future able to replace in minutes.

The price seemed right, sadly only 3/10 sockets arrived undamaged. After spending time bending the tabs back to straight and transplanting tabs into those which had some missing, I was left with only 8 usable sockets. Would have been better off if they labeled these as “assemble yourself” sockets and just ship the plastic parts and the metal tabs separately. At least then I’d have gotten 10 complete sockets.

These are pretty terrible. The package arrived with every single socket having most, if not all, of its pins bent or coming out.
