Aside from some variation from one to the next, all work as expected. The metal bodies are a benefit in my book since I sometimes use double sided LED mounting tape to stick transistors to the metal case/body and sink a bit of extra heat.

I needed variable resistors for hobby projects,so I am using these 0-500 ohm. Actually tests out at about 0- 590 on one I tested. Perfect.

For the 10 VR received in the same package, 2 gone dead on first use. The center (variable) connector broke (open connection between wiring terminal and the slide contact) on just three to four sweeps. Resistance on either side (measured between slide to fix terminal) is not a perfect short (zero ohm). 5 out of 10 (when first tested) present 0.5 to 2 ohm. Might be I am over aksing on general quality of these products. But this do create impact on my intended usage (I ends up can only use 3 out of 10 received VR to do my job).

500 Ohm pots, not much to say here except that they work as advertised. The turning is nice and smooth and the ramp of resistance is consistent and pretty linear as one would expect.

described as 500 ohms, says 500 ohms on bag they came in, but the parts are really 500K ohms. Had to return.
