I was surprised at how high the quality is.

Beautiful professional meter, reliable, internal resistance is 5kohm, scale can be read to 0.2 microamp up to 50 microamps.

I was looking for some 50uA meters, and ordered this one to see the quality and accuracy. I did not have high expectations but found this one to be pretty good. I measured it at 5uA, and the tens up to 50uA. It was a little low measured against a calibrated HP 410C meter (about 4% low at full scale). Analog meters are generally accurate within 3% due to having to read the needle against the scale behind it and the accuracy of the mechanical movement. This 4% would be bad if you are depending on the meter to directly measure current accurately (hoping for an exact reading).A lot of people however have some electronic divider or amplifier driving the meter so the ability to adjust the current to read 50uA on the 50uA line can be trimmed easily. Alternately I expect to make my own scale for the meter to indicate something else other than current so I can make it as accurate as I want. Many low priced meters read accurately only at one end of the scale or the other. This one was very linear, accurately reading about 4% low anywhere on the scale. While this might seem bad, the linearity is generally more important as it is hard to get a circuit to overcome non-linearity in a meter.I am taking a star off because it is a little too far off in reading but otherwise it will work well for me.

I built a little micro ampere measuring box using this meter to measure the current draw of a microcontroller in sleep mode. The initial design had two back-to-back Schottky diodes to protect the meter from an overload. I didn't know at the time, but the leakage current of the diodes made the meter seem to read incorrectly (it read much less current than it should have). I thought the meter was defective or maybe the wrong one shipped, but when I removed the diodes everything worked fine. So, this meter works great - no problems. If you ever use diodes to protect the meter and it seems as though the meter is bad, try removing the diodes - just a heads up. Meter works perfectly, 100% satisfied, both thumbs up.

Needed a microamp meter. This one works very well.
