I bought this to make some fruit tarts. This one is just over 7 inch so a medium sized tart. One thing that worked well that could also be seen as a negative is the flexibility of the ring. This is not thick but it is flexible enough to push baked dough through ( I forgot to butter my ring) and was able to get the ring off easily. The air holes add a nice design.
