  • Compatibility: M8 x 1.25 metric tap and die set are suitable for making or repairing male and female threads. They are both left hand thread, durable, and with clear threads, good for general purpose applications.
  • Thread Tap: Straight flute design, downward chip removal. Process through holes in maintenance and repair work. For tapping aluminum, die steel, stainless steel, bronze, hard plastics etc.. Use with tapping oil to get higher quality threads and more durable taps.
  • Round Die: The round die features good abrasion resistance. Used with die wrench (not included). The fastening screws in the middle of the wrench should be inserted into the slot of the die and tightened. Suitable lubricating oil should be added to the cutting edge.
  • 6.8mm Drill Bit: Spiral chip space design for fast and clean chip removal. M35 cobalt high speed steel tool features high hardness (HRC65-66) and high red hardness, high wear resistance. Specially used for drilling stainless steel.
  • Tips: Recommended feed rate: general steel: 6-15m/min; harder steel: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min. The torque caused by too fast feed speed is too large, which can easily cause the tap to break.

The tap appears nice,but the drill bit failed within 5 seconds. I was careful and used cutting oil and the hole just needed to be opened up slightly and within 10 revolutions going easy to start the hole, the drill bit snapped off and literally crumbled in pieces within 3/16". Because it broke off so close to the Surface, of the hole, i can't get the bit out of the hole so I am very frustrated. If I knew it was such poor quality, I would have used one of my own bits that was similar in diameter. : (
