This valet rod is well-made. Comes with all mounting hardware. Looks very nice. If the other hardware in your closet isn't silver, you might consider a different color. (I've seen them in other colors, like black.) Definitely a nice addition to hang clothes on when you're getting dressed.

Works great, stays hidden away when it's not needed. My wife has a valet rod on her side of the closet and I've always been a tiny bit jealous. Now I've got one too and am very happy with it. Extends far enough to hold a jacket, pants, and shirt.I would have given a five star review if the screws that came with it were thick enough to be screwed into the shelf pin holes. It looks like it was designed to use them but the screws are small and intended to be screwed directly into the side of the cabinet.

This is a nice quality easy to install valet. It helps getting ready in the morning quicker and easier when the clothes are set out from the night before. It is a sturdy metal rod which can hold several pieces of clothing at one time. A nice addition to every closet.

I just wanted a sturdy product that was stable and that's what I got. I can't say too much about it. It installed easily, and the rod slid out and retracted easily. At some point, they might want to consider putting some notches on the rod because it being metal and most of my hanger hooks being metal, they kind of slid around some. Other than that, it's great.

Nice sturdy rod that gives you a few extra inches of space to hang clothes on. Just need to attach with 2 screws. Works great to hang outfit for the day.

Finally, a place to hang a few more things when doing laundry and sewing! Since the cabinets over my machines are not flush on the bottoms, I attached two cedar blocks to make up the difference. Then I mounted the included bracket mechanism on the blocks to enable the sliding function. I used the included wood-screws which fit into bracket slots that allow adjustability during installation. So, measure, mark, (drill, if desired), screw in four screws, done.The rod assembly arrived in perfect condition. The brushed stainless-steel finish mimics fine flatware and hides fingerprints. The decorative finial-end serves as a knob for pulling out the rod. The rod easily slides in and out with a little bit of noise. The rod is nearly 1/2" in diameter, the knob about 3/4" in diameter. The entire unit is about 12.5" long when closed, and about 19.75" long open. The usable part of the extended rod is about 7.25" long.The metal is not too thin, but it is not thick, either. It feels sturdy and did not flex during installation. I would categorize this as light-to-medium-duty. I am confident it will be useful for my laundry and sewing needs for many years. At the special price of $24.99, I would definitely order this valet rod again.

This is a very heavy piece of metal. It’s very sturdy and well-made. Comes with a couple of very short screws to attach to the wall. I’m a little bit worried. I need longer screws with anchors, but I will see if it holds up against my hangers, starts to pull out of the wall first.

I had a big closet refresh with built-ins - and this little valet rod was a perfect finishing touch, so when I pull items from the built-ins, I have a place to hang pieces of an outfit together. I attached to the inside of one of the armoires, so it slides out to hold garments I pull.This is a heavy and sturdy rod! The mounting plate and the rod itself are solid metal, super durable. I was able to screw the mounting plate without a hitch, and the rod slides in and out very easily. I love that it slides in and doesn't get in my way when not in use. It's not really noticeable when it's retracted.Really useful little tool for my closet, I might need to get one for my laundry cabinets as well!

This valet rod was very easy to install and slides in and out smoothly. It feels sturdy and functions as expected. Since you can basically hide it when its not in use it's very unobtrusive. I wanted something that I could hang my clothes on the night before so they'd be handy in the morning and not wrinkled. This rod fit the bill perfectly.
