At just a fraction the cost of it's competitors, the Valor Fitness LC-1 collars are the best on the market. These heavy-duty collars fit my 2-inch olympic barbells perfectly, as well as my 1/2-inch lifting chains. I'd rate these 6 stars if I could.

Works well. Doesn’t feel as cheap as the price

The work great and they are seriously heavy duty.

Strong and durable. Work excellent with chains for strength training. If you need to put the bar on the ground or drop the weight from failure you may bend or brake the winding rod.

They get the job done. Shipped with all the parts, they're fairly inexpensive and work like they're supposed to. The finish on them is pretty rough, but it doesn't affect their function and i don't consider how pretty workout gear is to be important.

One of the pair worked flawlessly, but the threads on the second sleeve were not put through quality control after chroming. The pin used to tighten the collar could not be turned far enough in to make contact with the bar. I have used a set of pliers to force the screw, but now it is just wedged in tight. Since this is a spare I started using the good one and will eventually fix the second one.

Product received is exactly as pictured and works perfectly. Like very much. Well made, nothing to complain about. Can probably hold hundreds of pounds or more without a problem even though Valor says they can each hold 100 lbs. Based on my experience that is well below their true capacity. The chain holding pins from which chains hang have a ball bearing detent that holds them in place. With resistance from a hanging chain on the holding pins, they will not be going anywhere at all. The pins also have the advantage that they make adding or deleting chains very easy, no wrench or tools required. Some other chain lifting collars for sale require a wrench to loosen the bolt that is used instead of the ball bearing detent pins used on the Valor collars. I am very happy with this purchase. Sorry others got the wrong product or a bad product. I had no issues with the holding pins whereas others did and substituted bolts.

The collars appear to be much less sturdy than other lifting collars. The metal plate where the chain attaches is bent. Better products of this type are available.
