Used on my grandfathers old 1935 vintage Savage 22 rifle. After prep work, heated barrel with heat gun. Did several applications to help with blending with old blueing. Came out amazing. I am impressed

Great product. First bought a small bottle at the gun show. Works so good. I would buy it by the barrel. If used that much.

This is a good blue. It does not make pure black. Make sure you clean and de-grease completely! DEGREASE!If you apply with 0000 steel wool, be sure to get some that either is oil free or de-grease it with Acetone well before use. (Give enough time for the acetone to dry completely before use) Multiple apps can be made to get the depth you want, using the wool lighter and lighter on each pass.That is the real trick to making this work perfectly every time.

Good product for what it is. I noticed when using this product that it works better to blu smaller parts that can fit into a small container to fully submerge the part. Had trouble with larger parts. It still did a nice job just found other products that I've used seem to be easier to work with and with less waste. Would still recommend depending on what you are using it for. The shotgun is a piece I used Van's gun blue on.

this is a good mix. If you need anything touched up, or even an entire item "blued" for looks and protection, this mixture is hard to beat. Only thing that looks better is using an actual "Hot Bluing" tank (not many people will have the room or want to spend the money on that unless you're a gunsmith)

I've used several different brands of cold bluing before but this one has worked much better for me. I can blend in worn bright spots and really have to look very closely to tell it's not original. You need to pay attention to the directions (see youtube) and don't use cotton swabs or other material that could have oils in them to apply this solution. If you prep well and be careful with your choice of applicator, I don't think you will find anything as good as this product.

This stuff is great!Easy to use,great for touch ups.Can get a little spotty on larger surfaces but rubbing with 0000 steel wool helps and looks great after oiling.Try a 4 ounce bottle if your not committed yet.
