Put more weight on back wheel of flat bar road bike(Trek sport FX) increasing balance ,speed and ride efficiency. If you want or need a more upright position this might help .(plus Jones Bar and Cigne stem.Looks great too..took weight off hands..

Got this to offset the saddle for the bike that was a tad bit small and it fulfilled the task perfectly. I like how it looks as well.

I installled it today on my mountain bike street rig. The curve in the front allowed me to adjust the seat tilt to about even like I like to have it. I had to tighten the two screws sequentially super tight with my allen wrench set. Because the first bump I hit discombobulated the seat. After tightening the seat screws I rode for a couple hours over potholes and speed humps and grass. With this rig I purchased a shim 27.2 mm to 28.6 mm because it was necessary to make the seat post fit the larger diameter seat tube. The first one I puschaed is for a hybrid bike which had a 27.2 seat post. On my MTB street rig, the Velo setback gives me a little more room for my knees to move about. So now the bike rides like a comfort cruiser bike.

If you require more setback to shift that center-of-gravity back for better balance - not many options around and most are very expensive, and still don't give what this provides. The rail clamps are very wide too, likely allowing ability to go slightly over what saddle says is edge of rail clamp area. This allows my saddle to be almost in the middle of rails for clamping, so I'm not sure if I was still at max the extreme weight on longer leever of pivot might cause movement - but I have none after about 200 miles of road use, and a few missed pot-holes while seated. The means of changing the tilt is a tad annoying though, and different than any other micro-adjust seat posts I've seen, and I've always replaced standard posts with micro-adjust.Usually those have a 2 bolt clamp mechanism that allows changing the tilt by loosening say front side, tighten the back more. Front goes up, back goes down for example, tilt changed. This mechanism is 2 bolt, but those merely hold a curved clamp onto the post with matching curved section - you can see it in pic.So to change tilt, you have to loosen both enough for movement - then move it forward or back, then tighten both, and see if you got the tilt you wanted. No? Loosen both again. While loose of course the saddle can move now on it's clamp. After tilt is correct if you have to now move saddle fore or aft - loosen again and risk changing the tilt.So it is micro in the sense there are no ridges that click into place, but it's more annoying. For sure mark the saddle where the clamp should be to quickly get it into place.

i needed a little setback on my seat to address a soring back because of leaning forward on my new bike, i searched the internet to find a more setback seat post but this is what i found and im very happy with my purchase it did the trick. looks clean and smooth it feels sturdy.caution when putting your seat on the post once you have it in the rails and you evenly tighten down both screws the front end of your seat will be a bit higher if you want it more level remember to tighten the front screw as tight as you can and then tightly tighten the second screw that will make it a bit more level.

Bought this for my Mtn bike to replace the straight post (In search of offset). This post is sturdy, strong, and well manufactured. After a year of riding, and a few wipe outs, no issues. Only complaint is you can only achieve a certain offset at a specific seat angle. In other words, as you move the seat fore and aft, the angle of the seat changes. If you want say, 15mm of offset, you are stuck with whatever seat angle is at that distance. Looks great on the bike and I'm pretty happy with it as my offset and seat angle just happen to work for me.
