The picture of this product is misleading. It has a wireless remote and a control box (yellow). The picture does not show a wired connection to between the winch and the yellow box. I assumed it wirelessly connected to the winch. When you try to assemble it you find that they must be connected with a heavy wire, which made the winch unusable as I had no place for the large yellow box. Very dissatisfied with this winch that I am now stuck with.

I bought this because I needed it and it showed up missing hardware and smashed to the point the plastic box that holds wires was not attached. Winch works great but physically is destroyed.

The winch comes with instructions for removing from the box in order to not bust the casing. Ours was already busted. Don't think it is hurting anything, but it was packed that way from Amazon. The last few things we have gotten have been poorly packed and have come broken. This gives you a warning but not much you can do when it is already broken. I have no idea if it works or not. Haven't used it. Kind of cheaply made.
