This is one crazy bulky lock. Like I legit feel like my bike is as secure as what ever I manage to lock it to! Holy cow its thiiicccc!I would highly recommend this for anyone that is a regular biker in a city. But be warned, the bulkiness of this lock does mean its heavy.

Good quality lock, came with 4 keys. This is one of the easiest Ulocks to lock/unlock I've ever used. It is a bit heavy. The mount doesn't work on my bike, which is disappointing. I don't have enough room to mount it and slide it out of the mount.

This can be used in many ways, but I have most often been using just the U-bolt portion to lock my child’s bike at his summer day camp. After seeing a few bikes, be stolen over the night or weekend, it was imperative to find a lock that can offer peace of mind and security.This is great, it is robustly constructed, and I doubt anyone will be able to break it without an angle grinder or cut off saw and so will surely make enough noise to catch attention. It is great that it came with 4 keys, everyone can have one, with a spare, so that we can all relock the bike to the rack without fuss. It does come with a key code card, so I assume you can use that to order more keys if you need them.

This lock comes with a decent Ulock and a cable lock also. The lock looks cheap, however it is not. The steel cast will keep most thieves null and void. Comes with spare keys.

I have a fairly expensive electric bike that I use for lots of errands in the area around my home, e.g., grocery shopping. I am generally only leaving it in areas that are fairly high traffic and hopefully safe, but it is nonetheless something I want to do my utmost to protect. I've been using one ulock for a couple of years along with the built in wheel lock but decided that a second ulock would be a good idea and not create too much additional hassle.A couple of key features made me select this particular ulock. First off, the inside dimensions of the "u" are slightly wider than my existing lock and this is important given how the bike's battery makes the frame fairly thick. I can get my old ulock around a certain portion of my frame where it is at its most narrow but this new lock can get around any portion of the frame and therefore is much more flexible for different locking scenarios. The other key feature of this lock is the low profile mounting hardware. I have another ulock and a bottle cage already on my bike so I needed something that did not require too much tube real estate and this mount is fantastic in that regard.As much as I like the lock's mount, it is also the one frustration I had with the lock. At first glance the mount seems similar to how a ziptie works in having straps that are pulled through a ratchet mechanism. When I went to mount the lock I was mystified how there was no way for me to tighten the straps as the slot they slide through was blocked by screws that are captive and cannot be removed. I looked at the paperwork that came with the lock and although they included instructions about using the lock I did not see any information about securing the mount. What I finally figured out was that you cannot manually slide the straps through the slots, but instead have to tighten them using a screwdriver to turn the captive screws. If I could deduct 1/2 a star for not having better instructions I would, but since I cannot and since the lock is otherwise a high quality product I will go ahead and round up my review to 5 stars.

I bike everywhere, and this is easily the most heavy duty bike lock I've found. If you want security, this beats out all the competition I've personally tried. That said, the tradeoff is that this bike lock is relatively big and heavy. The weight might not matter to everyone, but it's worth being aware of. Likewise, the size isn't super convenient, though they do have a mount, so you can attach it to the bike, which helps.Despite the size and weight, I'm very glad I ordered this. I have an ebike and don't want it to get stolen. The lock set is very versatile because you can set it up however you need to based on whatever you're locking your bike onto. Definitely more versatile than a cheap lock you'd get at the store. I also think it's much more secure. For me and my needs, it's worth the extra weight and bulk. This lock isn't cheap, but I think the security and quality of the materials justify the cost, because it's so heavy duty. Even the keys feel extra durable.BOTTOM LINE: If you care a lot about security, this bike lock is definitely above average. However, if added weight or bulk/weight is problematic, then you might want to explore other options.

This bike lock comes at a premium price but if you are serious about the security of your bike then it may be worth the cost. I think this is suited to locking your bike in a city centre for a shopping trip on a hybrid or mountain bike rather than a road bike as the weight of the item and size would be cumbersome for someone on a road bike. also storing the lock when not in use would be an issue without a sizable backpack. I think this lock would be ideal for an electric bike with the current cost of these bikes the outlay on this lock would be well worth it. The lock itself is of premium-quality steel and comes with 4 keys

This is a review of the “Via Velo Bike U Lock and Cable | U Lock 20CrMnTi Steel Anti-Theft Lock with Bracket and 1.2m Cable and Sold Secure Gold Approval for Road, Mountain, Electric, Folding Bikes and Electric Scooters”.This was packaged in a sturdy branded retail box.The lock comes with a generous four keys, a heavy-duty frame bracket and a reinforced cable.Everything about this product shouts quality – the finish, the attention to detail, the comprehensive instructions provided. It’s a heavy item – whilst that might deter some it shouldn’t – there is no such thing as a lightweight effective bike lock, they have to be heavy duty to stop theft or at least slow them down!Depending on your bike/scooter whatever, and the location, you can potentially use this to both immobilise the bike and secure it to a fixed object, so double protection.At just over £75 I’d say that it’s priced competitively in the current market.Note: As a member of the Vine program I was supplied with this item free of charge. This is a very solid lock for the price. It is a good heavy duty shackle and the lock appears to be good one. It is quite heavy so not sure if it's good for a bike, I'm using it to lock up my trailer.

What a superb and much needed find this is. For years I have owned a bike and also a motor bike, and have always been 'on edge' wherever I leave these, even if just a short visit to a shop or supermarket.This item is a Bike 'U Lock' and Cable, made with 20CrMnTi steel, and comes with a generous 4 keys,and the included solid strap is 120cm long (47.24inches) and is 10mm diameter (0.39inch), and weighs almost 1.5 kilograms.The strap wraps through the wheels and other items on the bike, and there is an extra 'U lock' storage device to fix permanently to the bike in different 'out the way' positions (really clever storage solution when riding).Please see the images that I have included to show the 'U Lock' protecting my bicycle, and also protecting my motor bike, the sheer thickness and feel of the whole 'U lock' is so reassuring, and as mentioned, having 4 spare keys is a real bonus.Some of the photos show how the bike 'U lock' can even be used with a large motorbike, not just a standard motorbike / scooter.That bike 'U lock' would certainly cause hassle with anyone trying to even move that motorbike with the 'U lock' attached'In other images, the 'U lock' is used with a standard bicycle, and also used when the bicycle is near railings etc, and in one image, were the bicycle cannot reach the security of railings, I have used an extension chain from a motorbike, in those rare circumstances.So overall a very versatile piece of kit, with many other uses too. Thank you for such a great and useful product.

The packaging says this D-Lock weighs 1 Kg. The actual weight is 1.3 Kg. It's solidly made and comes with FOUR keys, a security cable and frame mount.All bike locks can be defeated,the idea is to slow a thief down. The longer it takes to defeat a lock the less chance there is they'll try or they may lose their nerve and give in. The security cable can be cropped, the weakness you get with a lot of security chains. The D lock is too thick to be cropped. Older D-Locks could have their springs popped by inserting something small down the side of the bar entrance. This one is designed so that the lock mechanism is in the centre, well away from the bar entry points. The key lock is deep and complex which means it is difficult to pick and drill. That leaves a brute force attack which takes time and needs leverage. A D-Lock is vulnerable to brute force if there is plenty of space within the D. This one is of small diameter so with plenty of bike in the centre it would be difficult to get the required tooling on to create the leverage needed.I like this one and, despite the weight, this will replace the cable lock I carry in my rucksack.
