Bought for a 28" bass drum, great weight and balance, works well on a Tam Tam too, although tough to get the louder dynamics, would need a heavier/harder beater on the Tam Tam.

Excellent mallet. Would have been slightly better with a hole in the end of the handle to use for attaching a short leather cord to hang it up, or a longer cord for wrapping on your wrist. However, it was easy to drill a hole myself and thread the cord through.

I bought these to use on a djembe to add a tympani-like sound. They sound good and are worth the money
