bought in september as a backup pair, upon first use i realized both pairs came with manufacturing defects.sound quality isn’t as good as corps master either in my opinion. corpsmasters (m182s) are great though

Can't go wrong with these mallets. They sound best in the mid to low register on marimba.

They are wonderful to use but the durability is a problem. My son plays in Drum Corps and High School bands and we've been having issues. Sometimes the heads come off and glue can fix that but other times the stick itself breaks just a little below the head. We've used many sets of these over the years and just keep buying new sticks (like razor blades I guess).
