(Our extensive selection of U.S. manufactured tools) is stated in the item description, this is the 1st lie these are china, 2nd they show a pic of a bottoming tap? they are all the same standard taps no bottoming taps so you will have to grind them for your blind hole, growing tired of the CCP..i spent time locating a bottoming tap i then paid for a bottoming tap then i dont get a bottoming tap. i will avoid the viking name going forward.

There was nothing to dislike. They were well made and properly hardened. Keep in mind that if you are trying to tap or clean up threads in a shallow hole you will have to grind one of the taps down past the taper.

I needed to clean up a scope mount tapped hole in a Winchester 1300 shadow turkey 12ga shotgun and I only used the taper one but I was happy to be able to repair the tapped hole. The 6-48 was a size I did not already have.

Worked fine, they are high carbon taps so if you do break one in a blind hole you can bust them up. I ground the bottoming tap down a little bit to make it more of a shallow hole tap. Sharp, good quality and the price seems fair.

Small taps are fragile you need to use a lite touch and treat them right, also US made vs China tends to have much better quality control and can make a big difference. You get a pro quality tool for a price you can afford for home use. I will look to Viking Drill and Tool for any more of the less common sizes I need.
