I love the images that I get with this lens - very sharp, good contrast, and great color. The 41mm apparent focal length on an APSC body makes this a great standard lens to have on my Sony A6700. It can also focus extremely close to an object with impeccable sharpness and contrast that I rarely pull out my dedicated macro lens. Did I say that this is crazy sharp from corner to corner even at f/1.2. Highly recommended. I love this lens so much, I also purchased the 75mm f/1.2 version of this lens.

Sharp prime lens for an APS-C

If you want a fast prime for indoor and outdoor photos/video just buy this lens. It is built like a tank - makes my Sony SEL1655G looks cheap - and the sharpness is spectacular even wide open. And being a f1.2 lens, this is how it will be generally be used. Focusing on A6700 is smooth, silent, fast, and accurate. it is fairly large and heavy for an APS-C lens, but feels great even on that smaller body. The FF equivalent field of view of 41mm closely matches the eye and allows shooting in tight spaces without putting too much space between the camera/light and subject, and faces are rendered beautifully without distortion seen with wider field of views. There are other good fast primes for APS-C by Sony, Laowa/Venus, TTartisan, and 7Artisans but most are manual focus and/or lack weather sealing. This one is the clear winner in features, performance, and value at well under $600.
