This cello stand is very sturdy, holds the cello and bow securely. The only downside to this stand is the color of the wood. It is quite orange, so if your cello is more reddish brown, be ready to re-stain it. I used a red mahogany gel stain and allowed the orange to show through muting the brightness of the orange color.Overall a great stand though!

Overall pretty nice!!Pros:1) Fair price I think.2) Looks nice from across the room.3) Holds the cello sturdyCons:(See pictures)1) Made from plywood2) There is a discoloration on the front the size of a US nickel. It's slightly raise like the water marks you get in cheap coffee tables when you put your drink on it.3) maybe this is only on my cello but the tailpiece rests in the cushion part. Notice in the picture how the cello is pulling the cushion away from the wood. (The white backing color. ) Not sure what the added stress on the tailpiece gut will do to the cello.

It fits my full sized cello like a glove and is a very sturdy base. I dont have pets or kids running around so it's even more secure now. I cant believe I went this long without a proper stand and it looks better standing than propped up in a corner or laying on it's side. Now there are areas where the glue is visible but hey it works, I could've made this in my shop and spent more time (time=$) than it wouldve been worth for me as I have more than enough on my workbench already. So BOOM, it was more cost effective to buy it and with Prime it was a no-brainer for me.

This is great. I use it to keep my beloved cello upright, safe and yet out of its case so I play it more often throughout the day. I have it up against a wall in a protected corner but still am vaguely concerned that my cat will somehow tip it over, so I've ordered (but not yet installed) a cello wall mount to secure the neck. But honestly, if you don't have a cat (and a pesky one at that), then just the wooden stand would be enough. It is lightweight wood but it's plush enough and my full-size cello fits snugly and safely inside. It's expensive but, not compared to a cello. So.

OMG, this arrived today and it is fantastic. The wooden box is really pretty it looks like a nice piece of furniture and the padding with the plush red velvet is very high-quality. There is a channel in the back for the bow which makes it complete and that is not featured in the photos here on Amazon. I have always kept my cello in its case but I’m tired of all the zipping and unzipping to practice. I looked at the metal tripod style stands and worried that a cat might bump into it and my cello might get hurt. This suits me so well and feels solid as a rock. I can’t believe I waited 40 years to order this!

Very well made, the inside is very cushy and lush and holds my cello perfectly. There is also a place in the back for my bow, which was a wonderful surprise. I've wanted a stand like this for 10 years, but they are usually so expensive. This is a great price for a great stand. Also, I had some questions on it and I got a prompt response from the seller. Excellent customer service to boot!
