This item arrived with a battery that was already dying, so please replace battery PRIOR to programming it.I knocked off a star because the instructions on the box did not work for me. I had to search all the reviews on multiple viper remotes for suggestions. Here's what I got to help me get mine to pair.Additionally, the remote needs to be in programmed first, before you can pair it.(Use a flathead to pry that little opening right below the f key.)Once you get the battery in go into your car and:1st you need to enter the remote into progammingHold the Function button until the LED light comes on solid. (it takes about 8 sec.)Then press and hold the remote start buttom until the remote beeps 3 times and LED lights up. Now your ready to program the remoteOpen One of the doors and leave open!Insert the key & turn the key to the "On" position (DO NOT TURN THE VEHICLE ON!)Firmly Press the button on the antenna unit typically located in your windshield TWICE.Press it again and hold it UNTIL THE VEHICLE HORN BEEPS, RELEASE ANTENNA BUTTON!On NEW remote press & HOLD the LOCK button until you hear the car horn beep.Release the button and the turn off the key in the vehicle.Press the "f" button on your remote once then again until the red light goes off to the leave programming mode.Your all set!ADDITIONALLY INSTRUCTIONS THAT WORK TOO:1. This alarm key remote never worked correctly and now doesn't work at all. This happened right from the beginning when purchased.

Took me literally 1 minute total to pair this to my 5906V alarm system. Delivery was on time. Overnight. Arrived at 5AM, started work at 6. Couldn’t have asked for a better scenario. The old fob broke on me, wasn’t able to lock my car for 2 days. Quick simple no BS. slim design. Fits in my pocket way better than 2-way remote. Solid secondary fob.

I have had a viper alarm for a few years now and it was time for me to replace my remote. I received the remote got it paired and it's been working great. It's triple digits in terms of weather where I am and I was unable to remote start the car so it could cool off, this was most definitely a life saver for me.

It worked out great. Found out the used truck I bought had a remote start and was able to program this and it started right up.(After I found the on/off switch for the unit itself)The remote is very light and does feel a bit fragile but hasn't broke yet.

There really isn't much to say, as this is a simple remote transmitter that works as expected. Set up was easy, and the supplied instructions were clear. The device is feather light, almost to the point of feeling somewhat fragile. The OE transmitter from the alarm kit was the same way, but this updated version has rubber buttons instead of plastic, so the print on them should not run off as easily. The device pictured is the latest design style. The product I received is physically similar to the original equipment version, except for the rubber buttons. The only gripe I have with this is the key ring. The hoop connecting the key ring to the transmitter is the same weak one in both the 1- and 2-way OE transmitters, which always pulled apart causing the remote to fly off the key ring when I pull my keys out. I will probably figure a way to secure the remote separately or with a higher quality ring. All in all this is a well-functioning transmitter that's slightly better than the OE version.
