NEW HIGH VALUE DOG TREAT! OMG my dog (yes dog) LOVES these! I can't leave one out on a table anywhere in his vicintiy b/c he'll smell it out and beg for it. This is a little pricey, so I'm using as a treat, not a meal. I love that the ingredients are minimal and these don't have any bad fillers or additives like sugar, or corn syrup or hidden chicken. Winner!

This is the kind of natural, high protein food that I'd like my cats to eat. I tried this on eight different adult cats by tearing the nuggets into small pieces (which is quite easy to do) and then adding warm water and letting it sit for several minutes.Two of my cats (mother and daughter) enjoyed licking the broth out of the mixture but didn't really eat any of it. The others all turned it down. I also tried offering it dry and one of my cats had a tiny bit with a little coaxing, but that's it. This might have worked if my cats weren't already used to eating all kinds of canned food. Next I'll try mixing it with some canned food or treat to see if I can at least feed partially raw.

I'm reviewing Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Raw Duck Entree. I have three cares: one eats anything, the other picky. These morsels are shaped like a cork, and can be given as is, or broken into smaller pieces. These can also be served dry or moistened. I feed raw meat diet so these are perfect snack for them. My cat that eats anything ate it and asked for more. One of my picky cat took her time to examine it and eventually ate it, which is great. My other picky one sniffed it so she was definitely interested, but eventually walked away. The ingredients are perfect, it pretty match mirrors my raw meat diet, just dried. So I feel great feeding this to my kitties.

I've been giving these to my cats as treats, and all 3 are obsessed! I typically keep a few treats in a ziplock in my pocket so I'm always ready to do a few minutes of training at random times throughout the day, and the cats mostly my leave my pocket alone. That's no longer true. Each and every one of them has tried, on multiple occasions & to varying degrees of success, to not only free the baggie from my pocket, but to open the bag by any means necessary. In 2 days I've already had to replace the baggie 3x due to tiny & not so tiny holes created by cats determined to get to this food/treat. They love the flavor & I love the grain free limited ingredients, so we're all happy.The only thing I don't love about this is the price. Even though 12oz of freeze dried food is quite a bit bigger/bulkier than 12oz of conventional, at $44.89 it's prohibitively expensive to feed with 3 cats, esp when 2 of the 3 are over 14lbs. Even as a treat, it's still at least 3x more than we typically pay for a larger bag of single ingredient freeze dried treats. If the price were lower, we'd love to make this part of our regular rotation.

I love mixing some freeze dried raw into my cats wet food to add a bit extra protein to her diet, and I have been leaning away from chicken for obvious reasons…but I thought I would give duck a chance and she LOVES it. In fact, she loves these more then the fish ones which surprises me because usually she chooses fish over everything. She will much on these as a snack, and in her dinner. They feel like great quality, and I have been buying from Vital Essentials for awhile and love their products and ingredients. They have always been a favorite for my cat. I guess I will be buying duck for her more often, since she seems to love it. This for sure will be repeatedly ordered in my house.

All five of my cats absolutely love this duck freeze-dried soft nibs cat food/mixer! They can't get to their dishes fast enough. I have one cat that I rescued who prefers dry food. At mealtime the wet food is served first, then they each get a bit of dry food. This cat actually waits for the dry food to be served before he will even touch his wet food. These nibs are amazing. I crumbled one of top of his wet food as a meal topper and he gobbled it down. We haven't tried this product before, but now I have no choice but to continue purchasing it. It crumbles easily and it's also good for them as it contains 99% of duck, organs, and bone. Since its raw you're supposed to use within 30 days of opening. I didn't like that at first because I thought it might get wasted, but since it gets used daily, I honestly don't think any of it will be going to waste. My cats give it two paws up!

the dogs sure did! Of course the cat turns her nose up at everything. So I tried the dogs. They absolutely loved it. I checked the ingredients and they were similar enough for me to let the dogs finish it. But I DID promise them I'd buy them the dog version I'm sure the darn cat will want theirs.There was no strange or chemical smell when I opened the bag. The appearence was what you'd expect from a freeze dried meat. Seems to be of a good quality.
