I purchased this product to replace the auger motor in my Vogelzang 5790. It was an exact fit. The shaft has the hole required to fit the connecting cotter pin through and the electrical connectors fit exactly without the need to cut and splice wires.My only complaint it the technical specifications of the motor. The Vogelzang 5790 manual requires a 1.5 rpm motor. The old motor I removed had a spec sticker that said it was a 1.5 rpm motor. The pellet head replacement is a 1.0 rpm motor.For my stove, this means on startup and throughout the various ranges it does not deliver the designed amount of pellets to the burnpot. I have to put a handful of pellets in the burnpot on startup because it doesn't put enough in during the startup timing sequence. Its heat output is about one setting less than it used to be.I am so grateful this product exists because of it's price point and ease of installation. Just understand it is not an exact replacement.

I used this part for the Vogelzang 5790. I purchased the unit from Tractor Supply. It worked for about 14 months since then it has feeder issue's and needs to be cleaned every 2 or 3 days. It virtually worthless but you get what you pay for...……...lesson learned!

Auger motor works great. Customer service/tech guy was super helpful and even helped me to figure out that the auger motor was not my problem but by that point I had already modified their motor so I couldn't return it (by my choice I didn't ask to return it). Anyhow I will keep it as a back up. Pellet stoves are simple but yet troubleshooting can be complex my recommendation would be to call them prior to ordering and see if they can get you the right product.
