Review of VOLISUN Solar Post Cap Light Outdoor Waterproof: RGB Color Changing - 4 PackI recently purchased the VOLISUN Solar Post Cap Lights, and I must say, these little gems have transformed my outdoor space into a whimsical retreat! The color-changing mode is absolutely delightful—it adds a magical touch to my yard that I can't get enough of. Whether it's a cozy gathering with friends or a quiet evening spent alone, these lights set the perfect mood.Speaking of modes, while the white illumination does provide a reasonable amount of light—about three feet around the post—it’s not overly bright. If you’re looking for something to illuminate a large area, you might want to consider adding additional lighting sources. However, for ambient lighting, the VOLISUN lights do a great job.Installation was a breeze as they fit perfectly on my 4x4 wooden posts, and they are designed to withstand outdoor elements, so I don’t have to worry about them in rainy weather. The waterproof feature definitely adds to their durability and longevity, making them a worthwhile investment for any outdoor space.The fact that they come in a pack of four is a bonus, allowing for a cohesive look when placed along my fence line. I really appreciate how easy it is to set them to the color-changing mode and just let them do their thing—it's like having mood lighting without any of the hassle of wiring or electricity.All in all, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the VOLISUN Solar Post Cap Lights. They're fun, functional, and add a fantastic ambience to my yard. If you're looking for a simple way to enhance your outdoor experience, I'd definitely recommend these. I, for one, would buy them again in a heartbeat!

These are nice post cap solar lights that can be set to cycle through colors or be fixed warm white light. This is slightly different in style and lighting options from another VOLISUN solar post cap light that we got. Of course, these are all made of plastic, but hopefully it does not degrade in the sunlight. It provides several options for mounting to different size posts. We have 4x4 vinyl posts, so we don't need to use the extra mounting adapters. We had difficulty removing the original caps on our vinyl posts, but then these lights fit just fine. We really like the lights on our deck. We also installed fence lights to provide more accented lighting to our backyard.

This is a set of 4 solar cap lights for posts. The design is a nice clean minimal clear plastic cover to showcase the light.To test the light before attaching the bases to the posts, twist off the large base that it arrives attached to. Then do another twist of the light cover and the light top. This exposes the switch for the lighting. Slide it one direction for the color changing mode. Slide it the opposite direction for steady on warm white light. To turn off the light if needed, slide the switch into the middle position. The switch must be in one of the on modes in order for the light to work once it gets dark. Twist the plastic light cover back onto the top.Choose the appropriate base for your post. keep in mind that there are inserts within both of the post covers. If the post cover isn't quite large enough for your post, remove that insert and it will likely fit.There are holes on the top of the post cover to use for attaching the cover to the post. Or use the side holes. (The choice will likely depend on your post.) 9 screws are included, 2 for each cap plus an extra one - so if you wish to use additional screws to attach the caps, you will need to purchase those separately.Once the post cover has been attached, twist the re-assembled light piece onto the cap.The solar panel on the top piece will accumulate power during the day and light up the area at night. Keep in mind that these are not floodlights or reading lights. These are mood and ambience lights. They will chase the shadows away enough to not trip over large pieces of furniture. But you likely won't be able to tell the difference between the raccoon and possum that climb up on your deck to snag the leftover food while you are seeing your guests to the door and starting cleanup inside.
