I bought this tester to do work around the house. It is pretty accurate, it lets you know if a wire or outlet is hot (powered). It feels nicely made and comfortable to hold and use. It comes with batteries also. Good tool to have in your toolbox if you do a lot of DYI work around the house.

This voltage tester is very handy to have around. I just had to use it tonight to test an outlet that I wasn't sure was getting power. It wasn't. The tester was very easy to use...just open the end, insert the batteries and you are on your way. My first time using it I didn't have any issues at all. It operates with two triple A batteries and they come in the package with the tester.

Tested it on an outlet and live wire and it worked as expected with no issues. Very happy with it and the price is good. Easy to use. Comes with instructions and batteries.

I had a fluke that I used for a good 10 years til the tip broke on it. I found this one and gained an added bonus of a flashlight. The LED indicators seem a little off when it comes to voltage reading, but if it beeps, I'm not touching it til the breaker is off. It's not overly sensative, but sensative enough that if you have an adjacent line within an inch or two, you may get a tone from it. This is nice for lines that you don't see.

Just a simple, affordable, sturdy voltage tester. It performs as intended, is highly sensitive, and includes the tester, two complimentary Alkine 1.5V AAA batteries, a small, dim LED flashlight on each end, and a large, bright LED spotlight on the other.
