About this item

  • The Razor HD Gen II 3-18x50 was designed for long range. The L-TEC Turret System has a locking mechanism preventing accidental adjustments. A visual rotation indicator allows you to keep track of revolutions on the turret.
  • EBR-7C is made for long-range. A windage tree in the lower quadrants is for fast wind/elevation corrections. Numbers on the lower stadia have moved outside the windage dots for less obstruction around the vertical stadia.
  • 6x zoom range offers magnification versatility while the fast focus eyepiece adjusts the reticle into sharp focus. Side parallax adjustment and illumination controls have been integrated into one knob for easy access and streamlined performance.
  • The APO optical system delivers stunning image quality through premium, high density, extra-low dispersion glass. All lenses are fully multi-coated with XR plus anti-reflective coatings to increase light transmission for amazing brightness.
  • O-ring sealed and argon purged, the Razor delivers waterproof and fogproof performance while the single-piece, aircraft-grade aluminum construction gives users a durable platform. Armortek coatings protect the lenses from scratches, oil, and dirt.

Razor HD Gen II 3-18x50 EBR-7C MOA Riflescope

In the race for the ultimate precision, long-range optics have serious precision users saying 'finally.' The Gen II Razors are designed and engineered for dialing precision long-range in extreme environments. They feature a 6x zoom range, a 34 mm single-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube and our sophisticated L-Tec turret system, plus a host of additional high-performance features for state-of-the-art optics with precision accuracy.

EBR-7C MOA Reticle

  • An MRAD-based reticle with an incredible variety of accommodations for drop, wind corrections, spotting and ranging. Designed for long-range precision users.
  • First focal plane (FFP) reticles are located near the windage and elevation turrets in front of the image-erecting and magnifying lenses. This style of reticle will visually grow and shrink as you change the magnification. The main advantage of an FFP reticle is that the reticle subtensions used for ranging, holdovers, and wind drift corrections are consistent at all magnifications. The reticle is heavier at higher magnifications and finer at lower magnifications.

Other Features

Optical & Convenience

HD Optical System: Optimized with select glass elements to deliver exceptional resolution, cut chromatic aberration and provide outstanding color fidelity, edge-to-edge sharpness and light transmission.

Plasma Tech: Cutting edge application process provides unparalleled coating durability and performance.

Glass-etched Reticle: Allows for intricate reticle design. Protected between two layers of glass for optimum durability and reliability.

Illuminated Reticle: Provides precise aiming under low-light conditions.

Internal

Maximized Turret Zero Adjustment: Turret design allows expanded adjustment range when L-Tec zero stop feature is disengaged for zeroing.

Micro Adjust Zero Setting: Infinite zero setting positions allow zero to be set between clicks for optimal accuracy.

Erector Tube System: Precision-machined from aircraft-grade aluminum with anti-galling properties for a lighter weight, stronger, more durable tube. Stainless steel offset coil spring erector biasing system withstands higher stresses, allowing more internal elevation and windage travel with better freedom of movement for the ultimate turret precision.

Construction

Single-Piece Tube: Maximizes alignment for improved accuracy and visual performance while ensuring strength and waterproofness.

Aircraft-Grade Aluminum: Constructed from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum for strength and rigidity.

Shockproof: Designed to withstand the highest levels of impact.

Locking Illumination: Locks illumination at preferred setting.

I really like the controls. They are well thought out. The reticle and the optics are fantastic. Only downside is the weight, but it feels like you could use it as a sledge hammer without damaging it!

Amazing scope!!! Use it to shoot past a mile (2000 yards) and the reticle is perfect.

Fantastic scope and fantastic glass and an excellent price (but it is heavy!, VERY heavy) but I knew this going in.This will be used on a PRS gun that is heavy any way so in this case that's not a negative. In my mind, this is not a hunting optic.Clicks and all adjustments seem spot on, Locking windage, elevation, and illumination. A+.

I have a $2000 Valdada on my 338 lapua and I was thinking of getting another for my 308 but I was just so drawn to the vortex. I see the price went up for the vortex. When I purchased it, it was for $2500. I shot the Valdada at 1000yards and I could see the vapor trail to the target. I shot the vortex only upto 850yards but could not see any vapor trails. With that said I still had a 2" grouping with the Vortex. I was super impressed. I love the stiff locking turrets and the way it's built like a tank. I think the Valdada is a better scope but I would not by it again. If I was to purchase another scope it would be another Vortex Razor HD and screw it on my little wimpy hunting rifle. :) I just love them. OK so to help you decide , if you are looking at shooting small targets at long distances like 1000 yards and your going to be in the prone position then I recommend this scope. If you are going to drag your gear and abuse it , I recommend this scope. If you like an image that's just really nice and easy to get behind there might be something out there for the same price but I'm very satisfied and I am difficult to satisfy. I can't say anything about the warranty but from what I read they have the best warranty in the business.

Excellent scope, precision made, high quality, extremely accurate. I have read all over the Internet and had countless people say buy once cry once. Well to be honest with this scope it was buy once and still a reasonable price. Vortex competes with your "top companies" they are giving them a run for their money. Yes this scope was about 3k all said and done (scope rings, eye caps (it comes with some but they are basic), and level), but other companies I could have spent 4 to 6k for the same. This scope easially can reach 1500 yards (assuming you have a rifle that can reach that range). So yes, buy once cry once is a thing of the past. You can still buy once, but I feel vortex has definitly hit a sweet spot for price where I don't feel I was taken advantage of. I would definitly recommend this to others. With a lifetime warranty and no foreseeable issues with the manufacturing, this is definitly a scope I'll have for life. If you're still going should I buy this or a Leupold.... I have shot through both and see no real reason to spend another 1 to 2k more. I will give the glass aspect to Leopold, their glass is nicer (when it's lab tested with machines and all that). But to your naked eye, zero difference. The vortex lenses don't fog, I don't see any distortion, crystal clear, and no imperfections. I totally understand people have their opinions (buy a Lamborghini or a Ferrari) both these scopes are top knot check, buy what your heart desires. This is just my opinion on this scope. I am happy with it.

Incredible quality. I'm extremely happy with my purchase. The scope arrive well packed for shipping without any concerns of damage. After opening up and checking out the glass it's the clearest scope with what appears to be the best glass of any scope I currently own. Vortex has really stepped up their game with the new Razor HD Gen ll scope line. The eye relief at 4.5 and 27 is perfect. Very little fish eye at 27 compared to my Nightforce Benchrest scope. If I was able to do it all over again I would have purchased 2 of the Razor HD vs the Nightforce. They just don't compare the Vortex Razor HD Gen ll has it beat hands down for clarity and quality. My only concern is the size and weight of the scope. It's very large and heavy but I'll have it mounted on a Barrett MRAD 338 Laupa so it really won't matter since I mostly do bench shooting. In closing I would strongly recommend this scope.

Awesome scope! MOA turret with MOA reticle and first focal plane focus. MilDot/MilDot also available. Seems rugged and comes with lifetime warranty if it turns out to not be up to all you throw at it, or that you throw it at. If there's a 'con' it's the size of the objective - just remember that it's going to mount high on the rifle and most standard ballistic charts assume a scope center at 1.5" above bore centerline, so they'll be off some - but you'll probably have your own DOPE cards anyhow after zeroing it in.Excellent quality, and hundreds or thousands less than ultimate top of the line scopes like Zeiss and Bender-Schmidt.
