I was very pleased to see that these coconut bird nests had a very simple but effective hanging method. Long screw, two washers, and a wingnut - perfect. This is the ideal mounting method for bird accessories because, due to the large washers, it will fit any type of cage and is actually very sturdy; your birds won't get the scare of their lives when their perch suddenly falls from underneath them!The coconut shell is a sturdy construction and durable - which is wonderful because my parakeets seem to think they're beavers. Seriously, these four are the only birds I've ever had that chewed at a branch perch until they weakened it enough that it snapped in half under their weight. That said, I don't see the included cushions for the nests lasting very long. They're soft and cozy and feel/look like miniature dog beds. For canaries and finches I can see these lasting longer. For parakeets/budgies and other "chewers" I see these getting torn up pretty fast. Because they're fabric, they will also be harder to clean than if you had just used straw or coconut fiber.Aside from the questionable beds, I really do like these and the price for two is more than reasonable - highly recommend!

This is a great little two-pack of birdie coconut beds! They offer a natural and cozy retreat favored by my two inseparable budgie sisters who, while not engaging in nesting behaviors, enjoy using these beds to lay their eggs when the time comes. The included cushions add a touch of comfort, although they do require some vigilance once in the cage. It’s nice that you can take them out during warmer weather. Keep an eye out, though, because if you notice any tearing on the cushions from little beak chomps, I’d highly recommend removing the cushions. Better to be safe than sorry in preventing your feathered friends from ingesting any stuffing or fabric. Overall, these coconut nests offer a lovely natural aesthetic that my birds truly enjoy, and the value is pretty awesome too.
