VViViD Vinyl Product Features

self-healing

Self-Healing Upon Heat

Hybrid plastisol coating creates a self-healing surface, protecting against swirls, abrasions, and scratches. Heat gun removes most damage.

Paint protection adhesive

Paint Protection Adhesive

Our solvent-based acrylic adhesive cures in 40-ft evaporation tunnels, ensuring it won’t damage paint and allows repositioning without harm.

air release

Air-Release Technology

VViViD’s air-channels vanish over time, ensuring a strong bond that won’t lift, peel, or allow contaminants and moisture to seep in.

prevents sun damage

Prevents Sun Damage

Advanced UV absorbers and light stabilizers protect against fading, cracking, and sun damage, with new improvements every quarter.

  • Measure the longest points of your project, keeping in mind VViViD vinyl is always 5ft wide. Use a sizing chart for reference, buy a little more extra vinyl for errors, and use seams for large surfaces if needed.

  • Yes! Your vinyl wrap can survive winter with proper care. Use a ceramic coating like FUSE for protection, wash regularly with a vinyl-safe soap, avoid scrapers, and don’t use hot water or high-pressure washers. Park in a garage when possible.

  • You'll need a heat gun to stretch and set the vinyl, a knife for precise cuts, a squeegee to smooth out air bubbles, buffers for the squeegee edges to prevent scratches, and a tucking tool for clean edges and tight spaces.

  • At VViViD Vinyl, our wraps are more affordable than paint, fully reversible, and protect your car’s original finish. Unlike paint, wraps resist chips, UV damage, and scratches. Plus, they install faster and offer endless design possibilities!

  • Yes, you will need a heat gun as the vinyl's adhesive is heat activated. Heat softens the vinyl which makes it more pliable and stretchable, making it a lot either install. Post heating also contributes to the long term durability of the vinyl wrap.

If you are beginner, stay away. I had much better luck with 3M. Unfortunately cannot return, as 30 days have passed

I bought this to cover student desks in my engineering classroom as a bit of an experiment. This was very easy to apply and reposition as necessary. It has held up to several months of abuse from teenagers and a wide range of construction materials and chemicals. This has been a quality product and I plan to buy more.

Jury is still out on how long the vinyl will last and look decent. It’s relatively easy to work with though, but for crying out loud, stop putting a 5 inch piece of tape on the roll. You do realize you can’t get that tape mark off the vinyl right?! As customers we get literally 5 inches less vinyl. Nobody wants to use brand new vinyl with a tape mark on it. This isn’t rocket science. Figure it out. Attached photos of the hatchet job you guys do to brand new product with the tape job.

I bought the 5x10 roll to do my roof (simple job)Yet I fought for 4 hours to get air bubbles and wrinkles out. Very easy to wrinkles with permanent marks. Not happy. Iv wrapped many cars and this has been by far the worst wrap to work with. All 10’ are in the garbage waste of $100. Better odds winning the lottery

I am a DIY with no experience. On flat surfaces is easy to apply; for uneven surfaces you need practice and heat but if you are patient you can get the job done! Love it. Works as expected and feels strong

I have used 3m wrap many times but i decided to try this wrap because the price was better. This wrap performs just as good at the 3m did. So far almost a year in my BMW still looks great. It definitely gets a lot of attention all blacked out.

I just wrapped my camaro with this film but there are a lot of problems. Adhesion quality is close to non-existant. It’s super tacky, making it very difficult for large surfaces. The finish is super easy to scratch. Wet the squeegee or you will not like the result. Avoid stretching wherever you can. It will pull back very quickly. It does not stretch as well as advertised. Wrinkles really easily. Air release tech is mediocre. Only thing that helps is that Amazon quixkly identifies manufacturing defects and will help out with replacement.

Although it's a car wrap, I used it for my dishwasher. Easiest way to change the color of my machine without buying a new one.

The area in front of the sunroof was faded so I wanted something glossy to cover it to match the glossiness of the glass sunroof. This has a protective layer on top to keep the glossy surface glossy. I was concerned how scratchy it looked after applying it with a squeegee since the protective layer seemed extremely thin, but once I removed the protective layer I was very pleased with the outcome.

Ive used this product atleast 7+ times in the past and have come back for more as it is a good product. In my past experience, the vinyl is very forgiving, adjustable, no residue marks when taking it off over a years + time, has a great satin finish, and heat allows the product to go back to its original state.Im starting my project of wrapping my new car, I ordered 3 different rolls with different lengths to satisfy each portion I need done. My hood roll of 6’x5’ came and hood is wrapped. (See photo)My second roll for my roof came today and have serious issues with this particular roll, not sure if a different lot or old product but a completely different experience from wrapping my hood a couple days ago and from years of use of this product. My 3rd roll is coming tomorrow 7/12/23.This is the first time that this product has absolutely made me annoyed during my application, as the same method for application ive used over the years and past hood wrap was now just ruining the finish on the car but also the vinyl in general. If needed, will return the 3rd roll for my trunk when it comes. This particular roll for my roof, did NOT adjust with my heat gun, crinkles and wrinkles in the vinyl did not come out as usual, the vinyl began to tear at a stress point even with heat to relieve it and ruined the whole project. My roof is covered in adhesive residue and took 1-2 hours to clean off but also the vinyl when applied with heat for stretching, began to make small little beads of adhesive balls and when flattened, it was absolutely something I could not have presentable on the car. It was as if the car had acne. It was just a nightmare of events from a couple days ago and over the course of using this product, in the meantime, in the process of returning for my money back to replace with another roll thats larger so its from a different lot and hopefully have a better experience with the replacement and the roll thats coming tomorrow. If it carries on, will have to try different products other than vivvid, will give a second chance just in case it was only a problematic roll….
