The rope is way too thick to fit into the cleats. Thankfully this was our second set so we were able to use the rope from the first old set. Otherwise, I would have given it’s 5 star.

Prior to buying these, we always used regular mooring whips with varied success. We have had these for a year, and they are much better than traditional whips at holding our boat in one place, and managing all of the waves that hit. We are on a busy river, and the water levels can change. These have been perfect for our 21 foot boat. We did have to raise the front one about 6 inches above the dock to accommodate our chaparral, as the front cleat is higher than the one in the back. We just used 3 2x8s and stacked them together and secured everything to the dock. I like mooring whips, which we had to replace almost every year, it doesn’t look like these will need replacement for years and years.

I put these on my dock at the lake so friends could tie up their boat when they visited. Works great and keeps boats far enough away from the dock to avoid damage.

These are easy to install and work well BUT they do not come with hardware so be prepared for that. We had base plates made to attached to the underside of the dock to help keep them in place as well. They’re much better than whips. We are happy with the purchase.

Sturdy and well built unit, but with one catch.... Would it really be that hard to include four ⅜" deck screws in this $500+ item? As far as I know not many lakes have a Home Depot next door, so this means I must stop what I am doing, and drive into town for $2 with of deck screws.

Easy to set up. Easy to use. Looking like they should be just right. The hardware to mount to the dock was not provided, due to the various types of materials that would have to be accommodated. But I did have to make a trip back to town for bolts...

Easy to install, but you'll need to buy the bolts to install it to yoour dock!!

Because of my boats' cleat location the mooring arm was not long enough. My boats cleat is located closer to the point of the bow requiring the mooring arm to be longer! I was able to run the mooring rope around a grab rail that ran closer to the side of the boat. An adjustable arm length would have helped a lot!

Perfect. Works as advertised. Keeps my 18 foot bow-rider about 18 inches off the dock. Durable, heavy-duty construction will last a long time in our salt water environment. I added blocking under the deck boards for extra security.
