Your cart is empty.Throttle position sensors measures throttle position through changing voltage and sends this information to the onboard computer. The computer uses this and other inputs to calculate the correct amount of fuel delivered. Symptoms of failure include poor starting, improper automatic transmission converter lockup, engine stumbling, stalling, and or a check engine light. There is no scheduled service for TPS sensors. Harness and plug seems well made, fits the OEM TPS luckily. installed the Walker TPS from this kit, made sure to clock it when i put it on so the tangs lined up. Truck ran good but would die whenever i let off the gas from accelerating. Long story short I went to O'reillys and got another TPS, put it on and the truck runs perfect now.

Bought the plug & sensor.plug wouldn't lock on the sensor. ECM code said fault TPS. Got one locally fault cleared itself. Cheap isn't always the best value. You get what you pay for buyin sensors online. Returned 2 other different sensors that didn't fit or match the oem plugs. In this case the very low price for sensors was not worth the time& trouble when there's no QC in China where I think all are made nowadays. It's not just the seller. It's the Mfg process in my opinion.

After trying a few mechanical things that didn't solve a torque converter lockup problem on a 2001 Dodge van, I connected a test meter to the lockup wire and saw the signal come and go. Replacing the throttle position sensor stabilized the signal and corrected the lockup problem. The vehicle didn't need the wire harness replaced, but it was nice to have one included in the box to make it easier to test the old and new parts.

Codes said mismatch between throttle position, mass air flow, and manifold pressure. Rather than doing a lot of testing, I went for the component that has moving parts. Problem solved.

got the plug with pigtail which I needed as someone before me cut the insulation right up against the plug so it was causing issues at times! and it came with the tp sensor and it fits great on my 98 dodge 4x4 but what was sad no gasket so I had to use the old one! so guys we need the gasket as well!!
