The muffler shipped was a Walker Quiet-Flow 3 and is not Stainless Steel.The muffler is described on Amazon as Stainless Steel. That muffler would appear to be a Walker Quiet-Flow SS model which is an all Stainless Steel construction designed to outlast 3 of the aluminized steel type mufflers, per Walker.Quote from Walker web site for their Stainless Steel muffler:"Walker® Quiet-Flow® SSWALKER® EXHAUST SYSTEMS: The Power of Stainless Steel100% Structural Stainless Steel construction resists rust-out three times longer than competitors' premium aluminized mufflers"When I called Walker technical support they said the "Quiet-Flow 3" Muffler was not Stainless Steel but has a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately the Quiet-Flow 3 is not listed as lifetime on Walker’s websites warranty page but the "Quiet-Flow SS" is listed as lifetime warranty in that same section with their other mufflers.At $90.00 right now to have two mufflers installed, the Stainless Steel versions, 3 times longer lasting, looks like a much better deal.Called Amazon today, their customer support wanted to ship another unit right away. I question if they actually have the Stainless Steel version as advertised and the support person was unable to resolve my question. I explained my 2 mufflers appeared to have come from two different ware houses as they arrived several days apart. When I looked if it were lost of delayed I noted one of the two shipping only after the first had arrived. Amazon support was not able to grasp the idea of verifying if I would be getting an actual stainless steel version before shipping another unit. I hate to waste their time and money shipping & returning another two mufflers so I suggested I would call back later. Maybe some one else will answer.Still in limbo on what to do, kind of expensive to pay for a muffler that’s designed to outlast 3 premium mufflers and get just a premium design.
