Both walkers were in our home and An unknown person was on the frequency and was trying to talk to my kids. That was creepy. Had to return it.

These are great walkie talkies for kids. They only have two buttons, a rotary on/off knob and the push to talk button. The only feature other than that is that if you tap the button twice it will make a single phone-type ring.Each one takes 3 AAA batteries. The clarity is much better than I remember as a kid and is what you would expect out of an inexpensive adult handheld radio. They worked fine across 30' of house with a door closed in between the kids, not sure how long a range they work over past that but will update as we test them out further.

I would’ve given these 5 stars, but I ordered another, similar 2 pack set of Spider-Man inspired toy walkie-talkies around the time I ordered these. I really think both sets operate with nearly identical quality sound and volume and they even look very similar to each other, but because I have another pair that doesn’t require disposable batteries like these do, and that don’t have funny little digital screens that I haven’t noticed any useful purpose for yet, I had to give these a 4 in comparison to the other set. They are a good bit smaller than similar products and they require external batteries, but I’m almost certain they would make a good gift for any young kid who you may need a present for, but whose interests you aren’t familiar with.Unfortunately, there’s only one radio channel that these and the other similar toys all share, so if the neighbor kids also have devices like these, they’re all going to be talking to each other between the house walls. I know that my 4 kids (boys and girls, ages 6-10) have had a blast playing with these walkie-talkies. They seems to be made adequately well for the price of the set and add a decent value for the price.

These walkie talkies are better quality than others we have had in the past. My 6 and 7 year old sons play with them for hours. Also bought them for son’s classmate’s birthday. Great gift idea. Would buy again.

So much fun for the kids! Clarity is good and size is appropriate for little hands.

Fun and exciting for my son, but disappointing how fast this uses up expensive batteries. They were working great with brand new batteries, but when the batteries got low in power these became very staticky.
