Seals well every time so far. Important to know: no indicator telling you it’s ready, because it is not activated until you pull the handle down. Just plug it in, position the bag and pull the handle down.

This works really well at sealing mylar bags for long term food storage.I bought a pack of 9mm mylar bags and this sealer works really well on them at the highest setting.Granted this isn't a tool that I'll be using often, frankly once I get our emergency food all packed away, I may not use this again for a very long time, but it has worked really well so far.

I bought this sealer to get a handle on my food storage. looks great and it actually worked great for one afternoon ..... then it quit working. Nothing. I checked the box, oh! it has a fuse...?? they sent a couple extra fuses. put one in sealed a bag no problem. next bag it doesn't work! blown fuse . I use the last fuse with the exact same results. I called wallaby to ask, what was the most common reason for the fuse to continually go out. I thought there was something I was doing wrong. Instead, I got a lecture how I needed to talk to the people I bought it from. Fair enough. But hears the real deal Sports Fans. wallaby is selling this unit to preppers and people like me who take their family's well-being and food security to heart. This wallaby unit is completely dependent on a cheap fuse, THAT I KNOW FIRST HAND, WILL GO OUT for who knows what reason, and leave you stranded high and dry. This is NOT serious equipment for serious people. It is NOT worth FIXING because it will still be dependent on a cheap fuse. Buy a good iron.

It is huge heavy does a very nice wide seal that I could not pull apart. It took about a week and a half to pick the order then 3 days to ship. It took so long I almost canceled the order

Took a long time to arrive. I got the 16” model to be able to seal large bags. It worked fine on the first bag then never worked again.I checked and found the fuse was blown.I replaced it with one of the enclosed fuses (the company includes two fuses and two replacement heat strips). It still didn’t work. It wouldn’t heat up or anything.I contacted Wallaby for help troubleshooting the unit. The representative wouldn’t help me at all since I purchased it through Amazon. I was astonished! I returned it to Amazon and received a full refund promptly.As a side note I was using Wallaby bags. They are more expensive and I was under the impression they were USA made. They are made in China as are the cheaper bags on the market.Looking at other models online I’ve noticed they all seem to have replaceable fuses. I finished the job with a borrowed Harvest Right sealer which does not have a spot to replace the fuses. It belongs to a friend who has used it a lot and has never had a problem with it.Although it is more expensive I guess I’ll step up and purchase one of those.

I bought this to replace the chintzy impulse sealer that came with our freeze dryer. This one is much better quality and works so well compared to the harvest right model. I like the short sized because most of the bags we fill are smaller but I do wish I had bought the next size up since this smallest model is only really good for up to quart sized bags. You can use it with larger bags but you have to do one side then the other and it has to line up just right. The extra heat in the center when you do that is also prone to melting.

I love the Wallaby Goods brand. Everything is HIGH quality, yet affordable for anyone looking to be better prepared. Stockpiling food has become more and more important over the last couple of years and Wallaby helps me store food long-term that will maintain freshness and quality. I can’t get enough! The Wallaby Impulse Sealer makes it so easy to properly seal the mylar bags for proper storage. Impulse sealer was ready to go in just a couple of minutes. I sealed each bag 2x but it only takes a few seconds each time. Comes with directions/guide. EASY!!!

We purchased this in the hopes that it would be an effective heat sealer for storing large quantities of food. We foster kittens and cats and purchase lots and lots of dry cat food. We have purchased smaller sealer‘s in the past only to have them not work very effectively. So far this sealer has been amazing. It appears to be a very high quality heavy duty sealer. It’s super easy to use, all you have to do is wait for the red light to come on and then hold for 3 to 5 seconds and the seal is flawless. It’s by far the best sealer we’ve ever purchased and will keep our future cats and kittens very happy and satiated. We would highly recommend this product without any reservations.
