I've used this pan a lot more than I thought I would. It works great on meats and veggies. As with cast iron, it can go from the burner to the oven (for finishing) with ease. It is fairly heavy but without an opposite handle, it is difficult to lift without tipping it. Overall, I'm happy, but careful, with the pan.

I have recently began a culinary journey, and acquiring the WANGYUANJI Cast Iron Grill Pan has elevated my cooking experience. I have only tried the pan on a gas stove and oven so far, and this product truly has enhanced my way in the kitchen. I feel a lot more professional than I really am, but getting there. I can confirm grilling steaks and vegetables is a must with this cast iron.

I got this cast iron grill pan because my teenage son has decided he likes steak (otherwise little else, he's like an air plant!). This is a good size pan for cooking 1 steak at a time. Anything else would start to get crowded in the pan, which is no bueno.It is a lighter weight pan, which probably means it's not great quality, but it also makes ite easier to handle and fit in the oven.Overall, it works well enough but the price point is too steep for the quality of the pan.I use an induction hob to cook it outside on our patio. It did make nice grill marks but I am realizing that having less contact with the pan (only on the raised parts) creates less crustiness on the surface of the meat, which is the best part and helps to sear in the juices. I'm still considering that but since I'm not the one eating it, he likes it well done, and this lighter cast iron is easier to handle, I'll keep using it.This pan will require more seasoning. The second time I used it, I rinsed it to scrub the bits out and then wiped it dry. A couple of very humid days later, I noticed rust marks had formed on the surface. I scrubbed them off and seasoned it and so far it's looking better but I would recommend at least a couple of rounds of seasoning to condition it.

Great product but the packaging was horrible and the box was demolished by the time I received it.

At just under a foot in diameter, this isn't the largest grill that I have cooked on, but that doesn't keep it from being possibly the best. It distributes the heat well to all parts, making cooking more reliable. Having two sides (one with grill lines, one smooth) makes for greater versatility and more possible foods that can be cooked on it. With it being non-coated, cleanup can sometimes be a challenge, but on the other hand, you don't have to worry about scraping off any coating, nor about it coming off into your food.I am looking forward to continuing to learn new ways to use this grill. It's a great addition to our kitchen.

I love cast iron, especially since it’s naturally nonstick, hate teflon and coated pans. As seen it creates a nice crust which can’t be obtained on teflon then, on thicker cuts it can go straight into the oven to finish off thicker cuts of meat or vegetables. I have thick anodized aluminum pans (calphlon) and stainless but my majority of cooking is done on cast iron. In culinary arts school I was trained on how to care for these pans and it was a lot but over the years I just rinse with hot water and scrub with a brush then dry on the stove with a light wipe of oil on a paper towel and eggs just glide off.

Cooks evenly on burner. I have a flat surface range and it Cooks well. Good steaks and hamburgers! On the smooth side pancakes are good!!!. I wish receipe ideas came with it . This would be a great gift!
