This skate leash is a really convenient way to carry my skates. I recently took them on a trip where they were on my shoulder for extended periods of time, and ouch! I found out that it was a bit too narrow to be comfortable. I added a blue backpack strap pad, but I won't know what difference that makes until I am carrying the skates for extended distances again. For short distances, like the car to the rink or park, I'd give it 5 stars. I gave it 4 stars instead of 3 because I think this is a typical width for a skate leash, and I'm usually only carrying my skates for short distances..
