I ended up buying the wrong size but the seals seem thick and sturdy like they would hold air and plastic is thick enough to where it should hold on quite well

These are standard one-way air valves that are often used in watersports tubes, rafts, and airbeds. These are good quality valves to keep on hand for when a gasket dries out or breaks. They're good replacements.
