I was juicing cucumbers when the top of the machine jumped off its track and spun out of control making the loudest sound ever. This was truly frightening!!!! There was NO reason for this to happen. I cleaned the machine and tried again and the same thing happened. For this price the machine should not do this. I would Never recommend this machine to anyone!!!!!! I insured this product and would like a refund!

Father-in-law uses it everyday to juice carrots ( about 30 a day, so many carrots his feet and hands have turned orange) The only complaint he has is the plunger came apart where it was glued together at the top but his old one worked so he just uses it.

I have the original one from the 80's by ACME. I used this for the first time in a Home Economics class in my school and immediately i heard a noise. I took it apart and saw the noise was the grinding of the bowl against the plastic. I at first questioned myself on the quality and i used it for the first time yesterday. I am disappointed in the quality in comparison to the one I still own at home. The price is almost doubled and the cheap plastic grind ed down. I am assuming it will not work properly any longer. Please get back to me so I can correct this issue.

Juicing Ginger!!! FORGET ABOUT IT! I have tried to three times.Each time, failure, motor smells, machine jumped across counter,tried juicing ginger before apples, failed again. Tried cutting ginger intosmaller pieces, failed again. No more tries.I have used this product for 15 years and seen a steady decline in quality andfunction. This is the my third machine and I am dumping it in the trash.Do Not Purchase!!!! Miles from being advertised as a heavy duty juicer, do not be misled.

I know that we bought these some time ago, but we put them into service about six weeks ago and WE are NOT happy. They should NOT be labeled "commercial" juicers! In an environment where they are called upon several dozen times per day, they just aren't up to it! You can actually STALL them with a couple of carrots or beets. You can't use citrus without an "attachment" that causes them to be no good for anything BUT citrus, and all it is is a rotary juicer...something I can, (and usually do), by hand for small quantities. Forget large quantities of ANYTHING. Waring customer service offered NOTHING other than to tell me I was "doing it wrong" when the lid flew off and darn near killed my wife because she put a piece of pineapple in it. I rarely to never post a bad review. Most times, I'll post a review that simply points out the good, (and bad), qualities of an item. This time, though, is different. We're replacing them with REAL commercial juicers forthwith!

Works well but basket must be cleaned as soon as you notice a little vibration. Wish it had a larger feeding port. Because of the centrifugal force, you get MUCH MORE of the extracted juice than with other juicers I've used which SAVES on the grocery bill.
