A bit messy and clumsy to use, when not mounted. Been using it for a while now and have ran over 6 rolls of paper tape through it with no real problems. Did notice the cutter has a hard time cutting the thicker tape if you don't pull the tape back against the cutter edge.I would definitely recommend if your looking for a low cost solution. Unit did come with a small roll of paper tape to get you going.

I bought two of these simple little gummed tape dispensers because the fancy automatic ones are crazy expensive. I've been using them several months now, and they've held up to daily use in our shipping area. The caveats are that you need to add water every day or so, and it's nearly impossible to see the level of water in the reservoir, so you want to add it very slowly to prevent overflows. Another caveat is that one of the tapes I use is reinforced, and the cutter is simply not equipped to cut it cleanly. I have to use scissors or a box-cutter on that one. Plain gummed tape tears cleanly however. Considering the automatic tape dispensers cost hundreds more, this was a good buy. Initially I had concerns that the tape dispensers would be too lightweight--and they are. You do have to hold it down with one hand while pulling/tearing the tape with the other. But that has not been as big of a problem as I thought it would be.

Item is not as described. Does not work the way the description says it does. Further, item shipping was 3 times as long as it said it would be. Had to buy one locally as I couldn’t wait any longer. Once the item did arrive, they will charge the same price to return it as the item costs. This has been a complete disappointment and a waste of money. QShield is not a reliable company and a waste of time and money. Never again will I buy anything from QShield.

I was dumb and slid one of the clips all the way off the white roller and it was pretty had to get back on! Other than my mistake the dispenser seems really well built. Didn’t realize it came with some tape so I tried it out immediately! Works perfectly. Very pleased!(This stuff does not stick well on top of old clear packing tape so if you want to reuse a box you have to peel off the old stuff first. Sticks very well to cardboard)

I never knew that kraft paper tape existed until recently, and I wish I had known about it sooner! It is honestly the best value for money when it comes to tapes. It applies easily and is pretty strong, so you don't have to worry about it ripping easily. Plus, the best thing is because it's paper-based, you can actually print on the tape before getting it wet. This makes it perfect for arts and crafts projects, or even for sealing up envelopes with a personal touch. I would highly recommend kraft paper tape to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.

I am so pleased with tape this thing! It works well, I love that there are fun color options, and the directions are embossed on the side (no losing them). It's a well made, heavy type study paper tape dispenser. There are pins on either side of the tape holder to use different sizes of tape and hold them all well in place. The sponge to pick up the water looks super durable, as it's not a sponge; it's some kind of absorbent fabric. The tape cutter is nice: study looking and appropriately sharp. It also comes with little foam feet to prevent it from sliding. There were screws as well, but I don't know what those are for. No more shall I use scissors and a damp paper towel.On top of that, the dispenser was packaged well and filled with goodies! We got a cute thank you card, a whole roll of adorable thank you stickers that we're totally going to use in our own packaging, and a little roll of paper tape. I'd absolutely buy another one, but I don't think I'll have to!

This is the best investment I have made in a while. I can’t recommend it enough.The product is very sturdy and after 2 weeks of heavy use it’s still as sturdy as when I first used it. We ship 10-20 boxes everyday and it was very important for us that it could handle this amount of use. It does do perfectly.I loved that it comes with tape already as well as with the nice-looking thank you stickers. Nice touch.
