The unit I received was obviously used. When I opened the package, sand spilled out. The grip was covered with sand, there was sand inside the bag, and the mounting screw was rusted. Take a look at the pictures. Seems like someone repackaged use grip. Retuning this immediately, and not buying another one.

Leichtes Produkt.

My bad for not paying better attention. I thought that this was an extendable hand grip. It is not it does however, float reasonably well with my small underwater camera attached. The grip is nice and the wrist strap makes it easy to keep with me, but also have my hands free when swimming. I would not buy it again simply because it's not what I need but the product itself is great

Como mango para actividades subacuáticas de la GoPro cumple su función perfectamente. Además es posible guardar algunas cosillas en su interior. Buena construcción y relación calidad-precio excelente.

Nice simple floating grip, the bottom can unscrew to store something inside. Very happy with it

The Waterproof Floating Hand Grip has a nice feel and solid construction. Its design suggests that the whole handle would float, but with the weight of a GoPro Hero 12, only the end of the handle remains buoyant. On the plus side, this end is orange, making it easily visible in the water. However, I was expecting much more buoyancy overall. The handle unscrews to reveal a small waterproof storage compartment, which is a handy feature. It can fit a few microSD cards and perhaps a charging cable. The seal appears to be effective, keeping contents dry. I also like the small tripod screw at the bottom to allow the attachment of feet or other accessories. The primary reason for the lower rating is the poor quality of the plastic mold used for the 3-prong mount. The slots were not cleanly produced, making it difficult to insert the GoPro fully and secure the screw. I had to shave the slots with a knife to make the GoPro fit, and even then, it was a tight squeeze. This issue causes the prongs to constantly angle out, making me worry it might eventually break or ruin the GoPro's mount.Overall, while the grip has some good features, the significant flaw with the mount manufacturing detracts from its usability and reliability.

I do a lot of kayaking and canoeing, and I really like to film my trips. This handle has made me feel a bit more comfortable filming with my expensive action cameras when I'm on the water. The handle floats really well, and the bright color makes it easy to spot if it goes overboard. I use the wrist strap every time I pull the camera out, and it cinches down on my wrist tight enough to not worry about it falling off. I'd call this a must have for every trip from now on.

A nice, inexpensive floating and non-slip grip handle for action cameras in contrasting orange and black coolor, a storage compartment within the handle bar, and a strap for securing the bar to your hand. The handle has a lot of great features--floating design so in case you loose grip of it while swimming, it will stay afloat. Meanwhile, the handle itself is thick, beefy and has a nonslip rubber coating on the outside that gives you additional assurance that this handle won't randomly slip away. Overall, the built quality is a bit plasticky though decent. And at this price point, you can't really complain.I used this handle extensively while vacationing in Hawaii, for snorkeling, zip lining, and other daily activities. In generally, the handle has proven to be a useful, unobstrusive and yet highly functional extension for that phone or action camera. That said, a few nitpicks: the included strap is way to short to be of use. With the strap on your wrist, you can't access buttons on your phone or camera. Also, while the handle promises to be floaty, I have found on occasion the twist cap that has the 1/4" mounting screen on and a rubber seal to keep out water doesn't completely keep out water (see photo of water inside the tube after a few days of water sports), despite conscious efforts to keep the cap screwed tightly while in use. That means you have to be diligent to make sure the cap is closed tightly so that the handle will float in the event your loose your grip. Finally, the screw for securing the action camera to the handle came with a bit of rust on it already. Though that still works but it does raise some concerns re quality. One more thing...on occasion I wished the handle can extend just a bit further to capture more of the scene behind me. Though this last one is not a fair nitpick as I knew this handle does not have an extension before I acquired it.All in all, a solid and useful handle grip for use with an action camera or that phone with the proper mount. The construction is decent with somewhat questionable components (the rust in the screw). But for the money, it's a tremendous value that should last you at least a year or two, or until the next evolutionary design comes up to replace this product.

I got this for my new AKASO Brave 7 - I don't anticipate using it too much on/in the water, but once my 15 year old finds out about the camera I know it's going in the lake and really don't want to have to dive to the bottom to (hopefully) retrieve it. I like that this connects easily to the camera and has the orange coloring to help see it, but also has a rubbery handle to grip it. The ability to store things in the handle is a nice touch, although I needed a tool to get the end unscrewed as it was on there super tight when I received it, but it actually has two rubber gaskets to help keep water out so I don't think it needs to be that tight.Material-wise this seems to be pretty decent and standard with other action camera accessories, with a pretty solid plastic and metal screw. I wasn't planning on using the included lanyard at first but, again, with a teenager using this I think I will put it on and make it a requirement so it doesn't float away.Probably the biggest selling point for me with this is that I could get a floating handle relatively inexpensively without having to pay 2-3 times as much for a 60-piece set where I wouldn't use 59 of the pieces.
