Tips: This valve is NOT a continuous duty valve and should NOT be in continuous use for more than 8 hours in a single cycle; to do so will shorten the life of the valve and may cause the core of the valve to burn out.

Works but coil runs very hot. I wouldnt touch the coil if it's been running any length of time. I did ask seller and they said it's normal for it to run hot. Time will tell for longevity.

This solenoid valve is being used in a cooling water recirculation system for improving solar panel efficiency. The high temperature thermo-sensor activates the solenoid to allow water to draw heat from the panels. Presently using well water under regulated pressure, the warm water output is also redirected to a "warm" water tank for use in the barn (that has the roof solar array}.The pressure required plus volume desired necessitates this solenoid size and power; the +30 watt power required is easily offset by the increased solar yield resulting from cooling panels.

The solenoid is quite good as it is made of brass and has a reliable electric actuator. Easy to run for a variety of applications. I ordered this 12v Solenoid for a Halloween prop. I’m going to control the solenoid with a motion sensor which will open the valve to fire a blast of air at people’s feet.

Always had an idea for boosting water pressure in my house by adding a second pressure tank but needed to separate them with a valve so the new one would be able to supply water for backwashing a mixed bed water filter. Saw this valve and it worked perfectly. It is tied into my prressure switch so now I can fill both tanks but once the pump shuts off the valve closes and isolates the larger tank to pressurize the domestic water system and the backwashing wont drag down my pressure.Valve is well made. Heavy. Machining is good quality and the threads were cut well with no burs. A nice simple valve that solved a long running problem.

This Watflow 110V 3/4" Brass Electric Solenoid Valve is solidly constructed and is ideal for a remote switched valve on a pneumatic system. I use this to isolate the compressor pressure switch from the air lines so if any break occurs in the lines the compressor won't continuously cycle to make up for the leak. The valve energizes when I flip the breaker for the compressor on, easy peasy peace of mind
