These mushrooms are so cute. They were pretty easy to make, and the instructions are good. The kit comes with finger cots, so you don't hurt yourself, and several felting needles with a handle for them. My only complaint is that you really need glue to get the eyes and keychain attachments to stay in, but it isn't included.

This was the first craft "kit" I've finished. The directions could use some help. The video isn't to the actual craft so that sucked. But it was easy once you figure out what you're doing. The felt is soft, vibrant and easy to work with. 10/10 fun times.

Okay, so I’m someone who knits, sews, crochets, spins yarn, you name it, but I never got into needle felting. I will say, it is a whole different beast. It’s really more of a sculpting art in the medium of wool. There’s a learning curve to it, so this kit is ideal since it gives you three similar projects to perfect your technique.The kit includes all the tools, materials, instructions, and accessories needing to make your little mushroom friends. At a cost of about $5 a project, this is a great price for starting a new hobby!

This is a really fun beginner felting project. The instructions are detailed with pictures. However, even as an experienced (intermediate) felter, I found it difficult to match the finished product although my results were not bad. Beginners may have a more difficult time: Don't be discouraged.

I'm not completely new to needle felting, but I do fall into the slightly-more-novice category. This set is a fun pattern and comes with everything needed. I do with the patterns were a little more explicit on how to shape the different pieces and the exact sizes to make them (it just gives a reference photo for size and says "make it the size of the photo"). However, the process is pretty straight forward in and of itself. The wool included is not the best I've worked with, but it's functional for the project.

This kit is great for beginners. It comes with all the standard supplies and is basically ready to use. It doesn't instruct on starter information, like how to use the needle handle. It shows holding the bare needle which is a good way to slice your finger open. I'd recommend watching a beginner's hand felting video or two on YouTube if this is your first time felting.The mushrooms turned out pretty great and my kids loved making them. If you'd like key chain size, use half the felt for each color to keep them small. This is my first attempt at felting. I thought I could learn a few techniques from a small kit and I love the anthropomorphic mushroom aesthetic. There is a QR code on the instructions which brings you to a YouTube tutorial. However, it directed me to a different project. These mushrooms were no where to be found in the other tutorials either. I found one with a similar shape (a penguin) and used it as a guide. I knew nothing before opening this kit (what is roving? It’s the felting material). Felting is a lot of poking with a needle. This kit comes with several fine and regular felting needles as well as protective sheathes for your thumb and forefinger (you’ll want to use these). There’s a block of foam and you poke, poke, poke until you’ve developed the desired shape. You poke to hook bits together. I broke 3 needles pretty early on and still haven’t finished the first of 3 projects. Either they are weak, or I got carried away with the poking. Maybe they are made to be weak so you don’t felt right through your fingers? The paper instructions are pretty detailed and the projects have a 1:1 guide for the size, so it’s a pretty easy and fun kit for any skill level.
