This exceeded my expectations on quality. The leather is very thick and sturdy. I have no doubts this will hold up over time. For the price, this is exceptionally well made.

I put this buttstock cover on a scoped lever action rifle to function as a riser for a better cheek weld, it works well for that purpose, plus it provides some cushion for more comfortable use. It comes with cushioned inserts for increasing the length of pull and providing extra cushioning to reduce felt recoil. It looks good and works as intended.

Although this is a review of a free product, I give you my word that my reviews will always be unbiased and truthful.I first put this on my M14/M1A, and it was a tight fit, but that is what you want. It felt nice, and looked good, but I had one more rifle I wanted to try it out on. I put this on one of my .45-70's, and it fit like a glove. It found it's new home! The .45-70 has a pretty good kick, especially when it comes with a thin hard plastic butt plate, like mine did. Wayne's Dog leather riser makes it much more comfortable to shoot. The leather is quite nice, and the stitching is top notch. I really like the look of this on my rifle and am glad I gave it a try.

This leather buttstock cheek riser and shell holder is a quality accessory, well-made and built to last. It combines durable leather with stretchy fabric and soft foam padding for added comfort. The kit includes additional rear soft pads that you can layer or trim to suit your preferred fit. The cheek pad attaches over the main leather stock pad with Velcro, and the entire unit is secured to the rifle stock with sturdy leather straps. Overall, it’s a thoughtfully designed, versatile riser and holder that works well for both right- and left-handed shooters.

Easy to install on my Garand. Plenty of extra leather lace, so I was able to loosen it up almost all the way, and install from the muzzle down to the stock. It was a cinch to lace up and easily adjust to the correct position.The adjustable cheek riser was nice because I do not need a lot of padding to get my eye aligned correctly. And it’s nice that this is adjustable so it’s not necessary to raise it.The cartridge loops are convenient to store extra hunting rounds and you can easily single load if necessary. Would work well on your more traditional hunting rifle, but I like the feel of this against the modernized laminate stock.

This is a well manufactured piece. When you're installing it you can tell it is higher quality than many similar items on the market. It really finishes out the appearance of my 45-70. Highly recommend.

Dropped this little guy on a classic 30-06--really adds a bit of versatility to our tried and true heirloom. The padding looks/feels like it will absorb some recoil, and the color scheme should hold true, and even age with a hint of patina.I really like this buttstock add on and will look into nabbing a couple more for our other lever and bolts. Great product.
