Slightly larger than the more popular size, but able to take on way more abuse without being an over-encumbrance. Expensive, but it will last.

I've been using this mallet for 2 years now and it's absolutely amazing. Some scuffs from hitting what I shouldn't but 0 dents or actual damage. 20/20.

There is a very good selection of weights available. I may have gotten one that is too heavy but time will tell. I like everything about the mallet. I have some maple mallets that work well but I liked the large diameter on this one. I don't think you can go wrong with one of these mallets. They are also very affordable for the quality!

Just started getting into woodworking and the standard rubber mallet i had on hand was a little cumbersome to use. The wood is good mallet is a little pricey for what it is, but the quality is really nice and it feels great in the hand. While it won't magically make my dovetails look professional, it does improve confidence over a standard mallet by allowing my to strike my chisel with more control and accuracy.

Well made product. Works as advertised. I've had it just over 6 months, and with the exception of the sweat marks on the handle, it looks and feels exactly as it did on day 1. Urethane hammer head is non-marring, and looks to be extremely durable. I replaced a wooden mallet with this item, and will never go back. Does absolutely zero damage to my chisel handles, and reduces shock in my hands by 100%. Can highly recommend!

My first Poly mallet and I like it. I did have to rough up the mallet surface a bit so that off center strikes won't slide off the chisel. I have not seen any marring when I tap dovetails together. I did get a slight green scuff when I had to give a mortise and tenon a good tap to get them together, I like a tight fit. It did sand right off. It feels well balanced and the strike is a solid dead blow, so no vibrations in my hand or chisel.
