We’re a family-owned business run by Maggie, Richard and Jayne Abdy with pewter-smithing in the blood. Jayne is our lead creative, she trained in metalwork design here in the City of Sheffield. She follows in the footsteps of skilled pewter craftsman, Arthur Richard Wentworth, who founded Wentworth Pewter in 1949.

Known to have ancient roots
Pewter possesses a unique combination of qualities. It retains its sheen, is hardwearing and is incredibly flexible to work with, making it the ideal material for developing and crafting new designs. Pewter has been in continuous use since the Bronze Age and is one of the world’s oldest manufacturing industries. We’re passionate about working with an ancient metal that has 21st century lustre!

Lead Free
Our Alloy is regularly tested and is food and drink safe.
It does not contain any Lead.
Pewter is an alloy of tin, copper and antimony.
Cleaning
Your pewter gift will retain its lustrous finish with the minimum of care:
If it has become dull, simply clean with a metal polish before you wash it. Always polish in straight lines for the best results. Wash it by hand in hot soapy water and dry it with a soft cloth
We do not recommend using a dishwasher as this can damage the metal.

Very nice drinking goblet for my husband. He has arthritis and sometimes his grip is not good. I was afraid of broken glass but now that problem is solved. Looks good and is much safer

this is a very nice well made sturdy pewter chalice, i took a chance buying it and was happy with the outcome. It has a nice feel and grip to it and sits well in the palm. Paid off. The brand name will tell you its a good product.
