Built 23 boats with WEST Epoxy. Built custom plumbing (drain) fittings. The Gougeon Brothers WEST System Epoxies are always reliable. Wish more companies produced at this high quality level.

If it's going to get below 70 at any point during the curing process you will need the 206 hardener which will go down to 60.

Disappointed in product as can was only half full and you need 2 cans apparently to have enough to go with the 1 quart 105. Though it was enough for my project. And mixed it according to the instructions and added some of their filler to thicken it and it's been 7 days and still tacky and not set completely. Very disappointed in this product.

This extra slow set hardener is great for furniture glue ups. Absolutely no reason to rush, plenty of time for adjustments before it sets up (like over an hour!) Leave it in the clamps overnight and you're golden.

Stuff works awesome like all of West Systems products. The stuff cures veryyyy slowly, though. I thought that since I was near the gulf in central Florida, in the middle of August, that I would need this tropical hardener, but the stuff ended up taking too long for my needs and I ended up ordering their regular 406 slow hardener and that worked perfect for my needs repairing the keel of my boat. I'd recommend trying the 406 before jumping on the 409!

I did a fair amount of research and went with West Systems even though it seemed a bit pricey. EXCELLENT product. Great adherence and excellent working time for those larger jobs.

This is a great hardener for West Systems epoxy resin. It has a light color, good long open time, low viscosity, and after mixing, can be diluted 10% with acetone for even better penetration. Great for strengthening rotten/soft wood. Measure accurately and mix well for best results. Great price on Amazon so it saved me a long trip to a retailer.
