From the Manufacturer

Westbrass was founded in 1935 by two brothers, Jack and Aaron Kagan, to serve the needs of all plumbing wholesalers on the West Coast. The product lines at the time included items such as faucets, valves, malleable fittings, etc. After becoming the premier distributor of plumbing products, the company was bought in 1985 by Max Homami. Seeing a boom in the Home Improvement Industry, Mr. Homami had a vision to make Westbrass the leader in Kitchen & Bath Accessories.
The company currently manufactures its own products made of the highest quality materials. In order to ensure the excellence in the industry, these products are made to pass the highly stringent requirements of NSF, IAPMO, ADA and many other regulations. The Los Angeles-based company now sells a wide range of Plumbing Specialty Products, Bath Waste & Overflows, as well as Decorative Kitchen & Bath Accessories worldwide.
Westbrass holds several patented items including the Deep Soak Overflow designed for extra-deep soaking in most bathing-wells, the Closing Linear overflow and several other intellectual properties. The customer base includes kitchen & bath showrooms, plumbing wholesalers and supply houses, OEM and ODM companies, as well as several national home centers.

Works good for long distance from wall to avoid splashing on edge of tub.

Does not have any inner parts. Need to be screwed onto the pipe. I had to extend the pipe (make it longer)

I bought this to replace a 5in faucet/spout that wasn’t quite long enough for the tub. Had to buy an adapter to extend my pipe to accommodate for the additional length. Otherwise it looks good and works well so far

Our spout was easy to install and exactly what we needed but came defective. The internal component to divert the water will not go fully down. This means the shower works fine, but every time we try to turn it on for a bath the shower drips and even starts spraying and the flow to the tub is half of what it should be. We checked for a way adjust it, to contact the seller, or to return our defective product and came up with no support. We are past our 30 day window due to waiting on the surrounding tile to be finished before we test it with water. We are so disappointed amd are back yo searching for an extra long tub spout. We cannot recommend this product knowing ours came defective.

I bought this tub spout because the one that came as part of a tub and shower set wouldn't stop leaking and it wasn't long enough. The one that came with the complete set was 5-1/4 inches long and it would splash on the overflow near the top of the bathtub. This one is long enough that I don't have to worry about that problem and it uses a 1/2 inch threaded pipe nipple. I was able to buy a 6-1/2 inch nipple and threaded the spout on and I was ready to take a bath.

I needed a longer spout to clear the ledge in our tiled tub/shower and this spout does that. The old shorter one caused mineral buildup over the years and I was too lazy to replace it until it finally corroded and started leaking (Picture 1). The the old spout was a rear mount and I needed to extend it with a cast iron coupling and 4.5 inch pipe to get the length from the wall to 5 3/8 inches. The chrome ring backing they showed with the advertisement was pressed over the nipple from the wall and the coupling and pipe installed. The spout was then installed and tightened to snug the fixture to the wall. I then applied clear adhesive caulk around the outer and inner edges of the backsplash ring. A quick test showed the diverter worked and there were no leaks in the plumbing (I like that they put a drain hole in the bottom of the spout). Will give it 24 hours for the caulk to cure before putting it to use. Now I will have to see how it lasts, as the old shorter spout was there for over 15 years, which shows how long I put this project off. Anyway, I finally did it and am happy with this spout so far, and the wife thinks it is a lot prettier than the old one.
