Westbrass was founded in 1935 by two brothers, Jack and Aaron Kagan, to serve the needs of all plumbing wholesalers on the West Coast. The product lines at the time included items such as faucets, valves, malleable fittings, etc. After becoming the premier distributor of plumbing products, the company was bought in 1985 by Max Homami. Seeing a boom in the Home Improvement Industry, Mr. Homami had a vision to make Westbrass the leader in Kitchen & Bath Accessories.
The company currently manufactures its own products made of the highest quality materials. Installed and unused, it is beautiful. Within 6 months it had a chip in the paint that has completed corroded much of the paint away. Do not waste your money on this. Very disappointed in the quality and durability of this product.

The finish is not durable, within 2 weeks ( from normal use of the sink) the black finish chipped off and revealed the brass beneath. Don't buy this item.

This is advertised for a kitchen sink, yet you are not even supposed to get dawn dish soap on it. The company knows these will not hold up and they do not stand behind their products. I use all plant based, eco friendly cleaners and ours still started chipping within a few months and is almost all gold in color now. The customer service states "the market wants black finish but these are not designed for a sink and they will not last long." This is not right to sell these to consumers where it is a hard area to switch out and where you can't even use standard dish washing products that most people use. I do not even use harsh cleaners and ours is completely ruined. So frustrating and terrible customer service.

I bought this On March 30th of this year and delivery was quick. I received it April 3rd and it was easy to install. I just noticed that big hunks of the black coating is now coming off of it and now have deal with the manufacturer which is hard to find. If I had known how bad the quality of this item was I would have ordered one of the cheaper ones.
