This product is very Will made, sturdy construction and fits the 2018 Jeep JL perfectly. Easy installation for front mount but bolts for the back portion of the skid plate can be difficult to “torque” down. You need a crescent style torque wrench. It helps to loosen the silver tube brackets to gain better access to the bolt head. But it’s not difficult. Very happy with product.

I have a 2020 w/ 3.6. However, the bracket and skid plat bends do not line up. There is also too much gap for the adjustable bracket to take up. Overall it’s sturdy, but poor quality control on making sure these will line up properly. Tightening the bolts would have put way too much torque on the engine bolts used to hold the bracket. Definitely not worth the hassle.

The steel feels sturdy and install was pretty strait forward, only challenging part was getting the spacer to fit on one of the rear bolts. Very happy with this purchase.

2021 JT Gladiator 80th Anniversary Edition. Read reviews where spacers had to be made. Didn't fit certain in certain situations, etc. Have also read it doesnt quite fit a 3.6 gasser. It does, there is a spacer (if needed) included in this kit. Bottom line, spend the money to get a full body skid (if needed) if you want peace of mind or you piece together skids. The point of this skid is to take the impact of a rock that would otherwise puncture your oil pan. It fits my needs at this point in time.

Beefy skid plate but probably not designed for intentional use. Had to modify a bit because it had minimal clearance of the bracket that holds my front differential skid plate on. Under certain articulation it would make contact between the upper diff plate bracket and the side if the oil pan skid. I cut out a space to provide clearance and it will not cause an issue now. Not the fault of the manufacturer So I'm not dinging them hard on that detail. Easy to install and only took about 30-40 minutes. It does bolt to the aluminum block and bell housing so hard core off roaders who rely on skids to access difficult terrain should avoid this item. I wanted something for insurance on moderate trails where picking proper lines and having a spotter helps mitigate damage in the first place.

I got this out of the Warehouse (hope it wasn’t 13) for about $30 so I jumped on it. It covers nicely and it’s a great well produced product that went on my 2020 Gladiator pretty easy. My only advise would be, if you’re a more hard core off-roader this bolts to your engine block so any serious landing on that bad boy could damage the block, it wont hurt this skid plate!

Skid plate does not fit my Jeep JL as described. I called the manufacturer, and they said they will send me new hardware and will update the installation instructions. I will update my review when I get the new hardware and the skid plate installed.
