This is the perfect weight for kids to handle and they don't break when dropped. The material eliminates a concern of plastic in the microwave leaching into foods. Seems like a good choice for durability and ease of cleaning when kids are around.

I use these for the microwave and put them under a paper plate for sturdiness. Very well made and in beautiful colors. Perfect!! Highly recommend.

We are hosting over 30 for Christmas Dinner, needed something besides the china to be able to put in dishwasher and to put in microwave if someone shows up late. These Wheat Straw plates fit the bill. They are sized well, good color, easy to handle, not slick and were priced right for our needs. Will definitely buy more if we need them, bought 40 this time.

Best purchase in a long time. These have saved me so much money on paper plates this year. They are pretty, sturdy, durable and most of all light- weight just like a well made paper plate. Great on picnics. I just throw dirty ones in a plastic bag, and at home put them in dishwasher.
