The freezer lights went out and I did nothing for months. Then the refrigerator side started to come on weak and then get brighter and then a few weeks later they started to flicker. I bought all three parts and replaced them all at once and all is well now. Maybe if I had acted as soon as the freezer side failed I would have saved quite a bit.An odd thing is that when you open either side the lights come on for both sides. Don't think that holding the door switch in on one side will stop the power from getting to that sides board. It is probably safest for you and the boards to not connect or disconnect these boards when power is supplied. It is clearly not a robust design.

Followed instructions via mfg website to replace my freezer light which was easy but once installed all my refrigerator and freezer lights turned into a strobe light show. Ended up just taking it out to stop the strobe effect. Don’t know if it was faulty or what but I tried swapping with the refrig light section too but got the same strobe effect. Unit was not returnable - would not recommend buying

Expensive, but product was exactly the right part for the inside refrigerator unit, so installing was a piece of cake. Unplug refrigerator, change freezer light first, pop off old unit with flathead, change refrigerator unit last, plug and it's lughts galore. Hope the last awhile.

I am relieved that I read the reviews on this LED light replacement before I ordered only the one that was blown. You have to replace BOTH of the lights for it to work!There is one in the freezer and one in the fridge. They feed off of each other, and it will blow if the fridge is not unplugged.Very expensive replacement but the light is a must have for the refrigerator!!
